Okay so this is a thread about singers you find either over-rated or just plain bad.
But to take an unexpected turn, as a metal head I'm not here to bash pop singers.
But to say: Am I only one who thinks Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Halford are really bad singers?
Keep it civil.

Anthony Hegarty, everyone says his voice is stunning but to me he sounds like a walrus that's been kicked in the nads and is wailing in pain.

I love Ozzy Osbourne...

I want his new album badly.

I'm not going to even mention the obvious ones.

Personally Kings Of Leon sound terrible to me... and Bring Me The Horizon.

I don't know the singers names.

Lady Gaga.
I have to agree with him there.

And Kurt Cobain, I still enjoy some of Nirvana, but seriously they weren't anything revolutionary to get the attention they get, I do love me some Dave Grohl though.

Yeah I agree with you there, I thought all the other grunge bands of the time were way better than Nirvana. But Dave is fucking awesome.

I guessed it wouldn't take long until this thread turns into some "uh justin bieber sucks" kiddy bullshit and right there the first knucklehead posting a response proves me right...idiots giving every metal head a bad name (put me on probation or bann me i don't give two fucks...had to be said....silly ass bullshit going on with the whole justin bieber stuff seriously you guys pay more attention to what he is currently doing than his fans do...maybe i should start singing aswell...if i could get people to be so concerned about me and my singing and they don't even like it...man i'd be laughing my ass off 24/7)

on topic....never felt to great about Ozzy Osbourne...i just don't like his voice, have to agree on Rob Halford with you aswell (just to damn high)...don't like the whole power metal "kick me in the nads and i squeal for ye" type of singing but i guess this is just a personal preference and can't be counted against a singers abilitys.

Lady Gaga, Justin Beiber, Kesha, Miley Cyrus ext. ext. and so on and so forth. We all know where this thread is headed.

I could flick on MTV at any given time ***during the 2 hours of the day they actually play music*** and 9 times out of 10 there will be someone who cannot sing but manages to make a career of it.

That Beiber-creature. I swear that thing sits on a car jack (sorry if that isn't the correct term, I'm referring to one of those things you use to lift your car when changing a tire) to ensure that those nuts of his remain firmly in his belly.

The Beatles aren't/weren't particularly great vocalists, though they made good use of harmony to make up for that fact. Although, that they weren't great singers was part of what made them great. They showed people that you didn't have to be particularly good at singing, or particularly gifted with instruments in order to be top notch musicians.

Ozzy's pretty good IMHO, but neither him nor Halford's bands made their names on vocals. know what i mean?

Can someone line up the pop singer community, the rap community, the techno community, the Disney community, the child singer community (for those that aren't in the Disney community) and... lets see... I think that's it. I'll just point at that line up and say "Pretty much that." I'm actually starting to like country because it's the only non-technologically over the top music that isn't emo. Seriously, it took me days to find a furking love song that's not emo or techno, love is supposed to be a happy time, stop fucking whining about it!

I'm counting House as the pop community, just FYI, and anything else that sounds like that. Didn't know there was a difference until it was quite aggressively pointed out to me a while back.

AC-DC is way overrated, all of their songs sound the same.

The number one most over rated band? Nickleback, ooohhh don't even get me started on Nickleback.
