I don't really, Submarine films are outdated because the technology is outdated.
The times they are a changin.

U571, but with Zombies...
Isn't that the one with Bon Jovi? Because if it is that movie rocks.

Submarine movies are all the same... they go underwater, something goes wrong, a big red light comes on... someone says "Sir, we can only go down [however many feet]" "Well, go down further" or something exactly like that... a section of the submarine is flooded and someone is in the flooding room but they have to close the door and the person in the flooded room can't get out in time and presses him face against the round window and the guy on the other side of the door shouts "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" as he watches his friend drown... they're pretty much all the same.

Terminator Salvation had a good Sub bit in it. Don't know if that counts, though...

Post apocalypse/ zombie takeover, and the sub is the survivor's base? Civilians takeover and...I dunno. Oh, food shortage leads to cannibalism...some leave for food but aren't allowed back in...it's a start, add more in a quote if you want.

One of the stories in World War Z involved a Chinese submarine crew. This post kind of reminds me of it, and I would pay good money to see a movie along the same lines.

I knew it sounded familiar but I just couldn't remember where it came from (I've read and reread that book, enjoyed it, and highly recommend it. By the way, it's from the author "Max Brooks"...I believe that's his name.) To Owyn_Merrilin, you're in luck. They are making a movie based off that book. I recently heard that it's supposed to star Brad Pitt. It's supposed to come out in the summer of 2012, here's a link http://www.manolith.com/2010/07/22/world-war-z-movie-brad-pitt-to-star/

OT: Hope that doesn't get me in trouble for advertising. If it will, let me know and I'll edit.

I don't think two, possibly three scenes with a submarine make the movie a submarine flick.

OT: We need a 007 movie to go underwater again. Just as long as they do it old school, with no CGI.
