Bioware kinda has a record for having crappy DLC. So I wont bother getting it, especially not after the whole Kasumi bullshit. Sorry chap.
It's supposedly much longer than the Kasumi DLC, although i have to admit even though i liked the character the mission was very short, they should also have made 2 missions like every other character (1 recruitment, 1 loyalty)

Not too interested to be honest, the ME2 DLC hasn't really been all that great.

The game is so narrative based anyway that jumping back in for a quick DLC adventure feels jarring and out of context.

The recruitment "mission" is going to bioware's/live's website and paying money for two threadbare characters.

Also, what was wrong with kasumi's mission? It was about the same length as any other single, non-plot (recruitment/loyalties not being part of the plot) mission.
There's nothing wrong with the mission's length, i meant 1 mission instead of 2 for Kasumi, for Zaeed i can understand a little seeing as he was "free" with the Cerberus network but i paid good money for Kasumi, i expected 2 missions for her.

Bioware should stick to full fledged expansion packs.. all this DLC is dragging down the quality of their games. Though there was not enough actually IN Mass Effect 2 to warrant an expansion pack to begin with... i would have loved one for the first game. Though to be honest, even the expansion for DA is lackluster compared to the expansions for their earlier games. They really seem to have lost some quality control.

I am downloading it right now but it is so slooooowwwwwwwwww.

Ya I wish they would give us expansions at this point. I have already invested about 160 dollars into DA:O alone. Here I will break it down for you cuz that sounds a bit crazy right? (and keep in mind I am Canadian our point cards are different)

DA:O Collector's Edition $80
2800 point card for the DLC that was released $40
Awakenings $40

And now add another 13% for taxes.

I respect the fact that some may feel ripped off paying $7 for the Kasumi DLC, but I found it to be worth it for the following reasons.

1) The loyalty mission was short, yes, but the story and location were really interesting enough to keep my attention.
2) The Locust SMG is awesome. In my two playthroughs I've been a Vanguard and Infiltrator, thus only getting an assault rifle in the latter part of the game. Other SMGs prior to the Locust were inaccurate and underpowered. The Locust really improved the offensive prowess of my Shepard(s).
3) Kasumi as a squadmate is fantastic. After all this time, I still get a kick out of Kasumi cloaking, appearing behind the enemy and smacking him/her/it upside the head and then cloaking again. Really a fun and strategically useful skill to have on your side.

I think the key is that the $7 DLC is not just an extra short mission. It's an extra squadmate and weapon that you can use the entire game. So saying that Stolen Memory is only "less than an hour long" is being disingenuous. I'm not referring to anyone in particular on this board - just commenting on other comments I've read over the past few months.

Just my opinion. No need to go spreading it around.

As for Overlord, I'm going to wait on it for now because I've got other games to finish before coming back to ME2 for a third playthrough. It's likely I will get it eventually though.

Yeah i forgot about the Locust, it's very very nice to have until you get the Tempest (which is around 60-70% of the game), good point.

Naw I just got crappy internet on the consoles. PC is fine but whenever I wanna D/L anything off of PSN or XBL it goes at like half speed.

I haven't gotten around to ME yet (I intend to) but regardless of the game I usually wait to see if they release a bundle of the DLC packs.

I don't know, I've always been able to get more damage out of the 20 rounds in a locust clip than the 50 in a tempest clip.

Actually being able to hit something is nice. The other SMGs being little more than light shows... npc smgs, on the other hand, pin point accuracy and no recoil.

Conversely, I like how the bandwidth of illegal downloads operate in direct opposition to legal ones.
While the Tempest might be a little (ok, a whole lot) inaccurate compared to "pinpoint" Locust SMG, it does more damage per round, holds more rounds and if you fire in short bursts is accurate enough imo...

and yeah, NPC's all have eagle eyes, hell they can nick you with a shotgun at 25 feets...

I couldn't agree more. DLC just feels like a waste, especially once you've finished the story.

I'm thinking about buying it, and Kasumi's Stolen Memory.
Is it worth it? :p
Can't say yet about Overlord but even though i think they cut corners a bit with Kasumi's DLC i think it's worth the 7$ it cost me...

If you liked ME2, it's a worthy investment imo
