If you're reading this, I'll assume you either play paintball or are interested by it.

If you play it, then you know what you need, but for those that don't, basic costs include your own mask, marker, hopper, compressed gas of choice, a tank for said gas, and of course, paint. As you might guess, since on the side of almost every paintball marker's box it says in red letters "WARNING: THIS MARKER IS NOT A TOY!", paintball isn't cheap (We all know how everything that's fun and/or dangerous costs money).

I personally have a Project Salvo marker, a 12 oz and a 20 oz CO2 Tank and a 48cu-squared Compressed Air/N2 Tank. Paint, I usually buy the day of any game of woodsball I happen to be attending, or I pay the person that brings the paint.

I do not play more than once or twice a month depending on weather and work schedules (and that in New York right now, it's an average of 10 sans windchill), but I enjoy playing enough to keep putting money into it. That is also how I feel about my PC and Gaming in general. Everyone eventually, no matter what they do, has to decide whether what they do is worth the investment...

My question is this: What equipment do you play with, and is it worth what you spend, not just monetarily, but is it rewarding?

(Personally for me, when you outsmart, or failing to do that, outgun a human being, and not just an AI, it's a sense of accomplishment for me. But hey, that's just IMO)
