We all had them. My mother, being Japanese was a strict mother. She didn't make for good conversation, and she rarely talked to me other than to criticize me and call me "baka" or "bakayaro" or just "namakemon". My Dad, being more gregarious often spoke to me a lot and called me "mongoose" because i was i was a pretty good fighter, thanks to years of martial arts programs and excercising. What kind of nicknames did your parents have for you?

When i was a baby apparently i was very fat, so they called me "gordo" which means fat in Spanish, the name went away though, I am skinny as a twig now, I don't know where this name came up from, but they call me Pancho now

Yes, and she said it in a scathing tone, which meant she loved me.

Chayo. They even made a chain for me.
I always hated when my mom would drop me off and yell " have a good day CHAYO!"
it gets irritating to say the least.

Sonny boy, if that counts.

Also, "miho", a short Spanish phrase for "my son"...but my mother actually also uses that with most of her nephews (regardless of age) and young boys in general. And uses the opposite "miha" for her nieces and young girls.

Kind of odd for someone from an all-Irish family, but we do live next to Mexico and have Spanish-speaking friends.

my parents still call me "weese" over the fact that I used to have asthma so the weezing sounds I made while having an attack apparently got me a nickname :\

other than that the alternative was "twig" because of how thin I was.

My grandmother used to call me bing before she died, now my mum does, as well as monkey. She used to call me pongo, so I've gladly welcomed the change.
