Have you ever started to write a story and then not felt like finishing it? If so then this is the post for you. This will work by each poster writing a sentence or two to make the beest story we can possibly make with a billion different authors. (This means continue on the story not start a new one every post) Please leave it open so the next person can continue it on as well.

Ill start with the intro.

Thunder cracks and the power goes out. I strike a match to light a candle; as I reach for the candle the flicker of the flames reveals the shadow of some strange figure...


(I ended with an ellipses (...) so if possible could you put an ellipses to show that it continues on? Thanks)

 

[JoJo]

I jump with surprise and turn around ready to strike the intruder. The candle light reveals to my relief that it's only my daughter, however she's...

 

[scorptatious]

...carrying a knife with her. I calmly yet sternly ask her why she's holding a knife. She answers...

 

[The Red Spy]

(she answers), mumbling incoherently. I notice her arm with the blade has began to shake, her head hangs to the floor as if limp, dark trails of tears stain her cheeks. I ask her again...

 

[scorptatious]

..."Why are you holding a knife?" She looks up at me, and answers, "I killed Mommy..."

 

[JoJo]

"What?" The whole world seems to spin for a moment and I fall to the floor. I'm too stunned to do anything except look up and stare at her with my mouth open. "Why?" I ask...

 

[scorptatious]

Tears flowed from her face. She stared at the bloody knife, and spoke through a trembling voice,

"Sh-She made me. Sh-She told me that she wanted to die. I-I-I don't know why!"

She dropped the knife and sobbed uncontrollably. I...

 

[SoloStoffe]

...slowly got up from the floor in shock, looking at her. Was she telling the truth? I had to find out...

 

[JoJo]

"Stay here, dear" I tell the weeping child. I slowly find my way through the darkened house, nervously jumping at every shadow and sound, until I stumble into the lounge. I gasp when I see...

 

[scorptatious]

a shadowy figure over my wife's body. He was human like, very limber though. He also had what looked like a hat on him. Similar to one an Englishman I met wore one time.

Could he be the one responsible for my wife's death? No. My daughter said she was the one who killed her. Something didn't add up. As I approached the shadowy figure, I asked,

"Who are you?"

 

[SkyeNeko]

He turned towards me slowly, mouthing words that I could not comprehend, and could barely hear. He raised a finger towards me, and began cackling maniacally. My wife's blood pooled around his boots.

 

[havass]

Reaching beside him, he picked up his axe and started stalking towards me. Suddenly,

 

[JoJo]

I hear a scream behind me, I turn to see my daughter standing there with one finger pointed towards the man, a look of horror on her face. I...

 

[ThreeWords]

.. am surprised to see her wave the knife threateningly at the strange figure. He'll kill her too! I think, and try to move between them, but I am frozen to the spot. I can only watch as my daughter advances, her gait purposeful and her face bearing an expression of fury beyond her nine years of age.

Her mouth opens, and she utters words like those that the stranger spoke. As he shrinks back from her...

 

[SkyeNeko]

he cackles threateningly, menacingly, his dark pools of eyes switching between my daughter and I. With a screech, he disappears through the open window, into the stormy night. After a few minutes in silence, I ran to my daughter...

 

[scorptatious]

...to she was okay. She simply stood there, not moving a muscle.

"I-I killed her... I killed Mommy."

I tried to reassure her, "No, that bad man was the one who killed her."

"No!!" she screamed. "I was the one who killed her! He told me that if I didn't kill her, he'd kill me!"

 

[JoJo]

I shake my head slowly, feeling unable to take the scene in front of me in.

"What did Mommy say when he told you to do this?" I ask...

her, but she was silent and then I thought of...

as she started to reply, her eyes suddenly turned unfocused and she turned the knife in her hand around, so that the blade was facing her.
