PC beeps twice sometimes

Three times now, my PC has done two short beeps. Every time it happened I was playing torchlight 2. The last 2 times happened just 5 minutes apart. What does this mean? I googled it and only found people talking about it happening on start up. It might be related to another problem my pc is having recently.

From about 1 year ago my pc has sometimes (about once a month) made a loud whirring noise from turning it on up until restarting it (normally after unplugging) but recently has been doing it every single day. I don't know if the 2 problems are related or what they mean.

If your fan is having issues it may be related to overheating. What the actual beeps mean can vary between boards. I suggest you consult your product manual or find a copy of it online.

The whirring noise may be coming from the PSU. In any case, i suggest you give it a thorough dust-off.
Also, posting your specs would be useful.

Usually if a PC starts beeping while in use it is related to heat. You could have fans not working properly or just too much dust on various parts and heat sinks. Open it up and give it a good dusting with some compressed air and see if it helps. You can also see if all the fans are working while you're in there.

Hmmm...speaking of dusting out PCs.....mine's way over due.
