Since S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has been canceled so they can make a free2play mmo. It got me thinking if there are any other PC games that would okay/that you'd like to see ported to consoles.

I wouldn't mind Mount & Blade: Warband on Xbox.

Any thoughts?

((Also sorry if there's something like this already))

Tribes: Ascend. It strikes me as a shooter that would play well on a console with minimal or no auto-aim.

Any platform game on PC would do well on consoles.

But who develops platform games for PC in the first place (yes I know there are exceptions)?

Starlancer has complex controls, though. I've got a copy, and I've never played past the first mission because there's no learning curve, you're just thrown off the cliff and expected to know what to do. It uses more buttons than the controllers have, even if you use some of them as shift keys.

OT: Terraria might do pretty well on consoles. I know Voxatron would, too, although that's still technically in an alpha state. I'm having a hard time thinking of modern non-indie PC games that don't already have a console port, or aren't ports from the consoles to the PC.

maybe starlancer or any other space combat game that doesnt have a complex trading system.
What do you mean by this exactly? Is complex referring to the controls for a menu?

i completely agree with that. somethings consoles just do better fighting games, platformers
maybe starlancer or any other space combat game that doesnt have a complex trading system.

Now I'm curious; how in the heck did they translate the controls to the dreamcast controller? Or did it require the keyboard peripheral? Because that's the most complicated flight sim I've ever played, and I grew up on the X-Wing series.

Pretty much any game that isn't an RTS could work. And I'm sure somebody'll figure out a decent control scheme for consoles eventually.

Console controlers for PC's makes this thread almost redundant.

I guess the answer would be any game that would be enjoyable to play split screen on the couch, nice and relaxed with some friends.

I wouldn't and haven't. Although that could have something to do with the fact that I don't have the attention span of a magpie.

trust me. you dont want to do that on a console.
Yes, you could just make a menu design for the controller in about, say, 2 hours work.

There's a IGN review on the Dreamcast version, detailing about the exact same thing.

Apparently it did use the controller, and apparently the control scheme is suppose to be rather good.

Platformers better on consoles? Not with that controller delay on those wireless controllers and the shitty 360 dpad.

Older consoles sure, but then again you can plug those controllers easily into your PC. Infact just about EVERY controller plugs into PC, including Genesis, Atari, vectrex, SNES, NES, etc etc

I'm still kind of surprised that Hard Reset didn't make it onto consoles. I really wanted to try that one too. Oh well. That's all I've got honestly...it would be nice if Team Fortress 2 on consoles was updated like its PC counterpart. Hell, I'd settle for bot matches so I can actually play the thing again.
