I am a PC games player, I didn't have any consoles.

However I read an article today, which is talking about how DA series bad in consoles due to its controlling system. That is not the point. The point is when I read a line which said "..This is a consoles dominating times..."

May be, or may be not. I personally think PCs are more flexible than consoles. So, what do you think? Is this a consoles dominating times? PCs or Consoles better?

No matter the anwser is, I won't try to persuade or talk down someone which is better, I just want to know what the others thinking.

By the way, this is my first post. Hello!

Oh goodie. This thread again.
Different people like different things. What may work for some, won't work for others.

Some people like consoles, some like PC, some like pooping on carpets. Point is, everything has its pro's and cons, just use what you like and stop bitching about every little thing.

Its not console player's faults that there's shitty PC ports. Its developer's/publisher's faults for making these shitty ports, and for assuming that your average console player has the mental capacity of a goldfish and needs to be hand-held throughout everything.

They do not.

Console's have they're good side and bad side, PC's have their good side and bad side. Neither is better, and both communities can be insufferable. Nobody is better than anyone else.

I personally like my laptop better, than consoles, simply because I'm a university student, always drifting between home and the hostel. It's simpler for me this way and I can still find many enjoyable PC games to pass the time.

From a money perspective consoles are a better deal. It's a lot cheaper to buy a console then to upgrade a computer. But with that being said you also get a bigger bang for your buck when you manage to create a high end pc too.

It all depends on personal preference. I'm a Xbox owner but I can see the benefits of a good gaming rig.

(Also BF3 on pc will be beast)

Either one has advantages and disadvantages, one is not inherently superior than the other.

All it really comes down to is money anyways, if a person had the cash they'd have a top of the line PC as well as all the consoles they were interested in.

There is no such thing as "a consoles dominating times". That isn't English, or any language for that matter, and it consequently does not mean anything.

Figures would seem to indicate that this is fact.

May be, or may be not. I personally think PCs are more flexible than consoles. So, what do you think? Is this a consoles dominating times? PCs or Consoles better?
Console seems to have a larger market share. Neither is better. Both have benefits.

No matter the anwser is, I won't try to persuade or talk down someone which is better, I just want to know what the others thinking.
I think PC is better and more "pure", but I use my 360 more than all other gaming platforms.

Welcome to the escapist, in future perhaps use the search bar. This topic has been done to death on the forums.

Don't look in the basement.

There we go, that is pretty much the answer to this problem. I personally am an exclusively PC gamer and can't stand console controllers but I make no claims that the PC is better.

If by better you mean "more functionality" or "better graphics" or "better/more peripherals" or "more fun to customize" then PC is better

But if by better you mean "easier to game on" or "less prone to software issues (but more prone to hardware issues)" or "cheap" or "supports local multiplayer" then consoles are better.

I'll get back to you once you've sorted out your grammar and spelling. In the meantime, why not read the many other threads regarding this subject?

Welcome.
This is actually a good site for this question because most of the people who have a contrary view wont jump down your throat: not a lot of trolls here.

It's definitely a console dominated generation but I think the PC is still better.... it's more expensive, but better.

The consoles used to have an edge when it came to simplicity and price but they're losing that edge: besides being more expensive, todays consoles have all sorts of fees, hidden costs, and largely suffer from many complications that they used to not have to deal with.

You used to be able to buy a console, buy a game, and you were set for a complete experience. Now you have to buy the console, the game, there might be dlc for the game (and there's likely going to be a patch or two but thankfully that stuff is at least automated on the console), then the game might be short and shored up with multiplayer content so you will need a high speed connection and you may have to pay some sort of regular fee too. And even after all that's done, you're either with a console that wasn't built well or a console that gets terrible support.
Is it as expensive or as complicated as building a good PC for gaming? No, not yet but the PC can actually do everything.

I think it entirely boils down to what experience you as gamer wish to get from a game, thus the reason I own both, a PC and Consoles.
