I don't want to get a rep for book topics but here goes...

Ever read a book and realize an artist has put out the perfect album to soundtrack your reading experience? What's the book and the album(s)?

In my case I found that the four latest Yellowcard albums ("Ocean Avenue", "Lights and Sound", "Paper Walls", and "When You're Through Thinking, Say Yes") some how create the perfect listening experience to the three Night Angel Trilogy Books by Brent Weeks.

Or I just over-indulge on both.

Okay guys, so what else is out there?

Good idea for a topic!

Let's see... I would play Fear Factor's "Demanufacture" and Ministry's "Pslam 69" when I was reading William Gibson's "Sprawl Trilogy". Industrial metal and cyberpunk go together pretty well. I've found that some of my weird artists like Shpongle and Ozric Tentacles help add to the mood when I read "The Absence of Myth" by Georges Bataille, which I have to reread just to make sense of it.

Generally I prefer to read in quiet situations, and if I do want music I'll put something ambient or soft on, but I can't think of any situations where that music added to the book.

Actually, I usually listen in the quiet too. It came to me while listening to my iPod on a drive to work. I'm at a light and it hits me. "Wow... This is like... Perfect."
