You cannot fight the fad, the fad is too strong. Hero team-based shooters, military shooters, whatever else shooters...the tides are bigger than those who try to resist, try to hide from the kiss don't you know don't you know you can't fight the fadlight whoaha oh no. But, tides are passing, and sometimes it is relaxing to just float about exploring all the potential nooks and crannies on a boat made of lazy metaphors before it all fades again to the ever enigmatic force of foreign gravity.
So why not embrace the opportunity and paint it into something that appeals to your own tastes? If you were given the task of making a Battle Royale game to profit off the unsuspecting unwashed masses, with no creative limitations beyond the main, yet expendable rules of the genre, and given infinite money and talent...what would it be?
