Our dog's favorite method of letting us know when she wants to come in is licking the glass.

Slowly.

Occasionally she'll paused halfway through a lick and just stand there with her tongue on the glass as if to say, "Well?! Do you see me now?!"

I just pictured a dog doing that and chuckled xD.

Sometimes when my dog wants to come inside, he shoves his nose in the little squares of my screen door xD.

Well, as kittens, my cats were put in enclosed spaces until we adopted them. The boy, fueled by his already neurotic personality, will now stop at nothing to ensure that all the doors in my house are open, so that he is not restricted from any place. This can be so extreme that he runs into my door at a full sprint because it's closed. He also enjoys licking my earbuds. Ewww.

Another one of my cats, when she wants rubs, runs at me and once she is close, starts stretching her back legs and continues to move at me. Kinda funny to watch.

My third cat, who loves me very much, occasionally makes attempts to mimic me. I have walked into the kitchen and watched her eat her food with her hands (paws). Which is funny because she's not people... she's a cat. One time she tried "eating" the water by picking it up.

My dog used to do that when we had a glass door.

Then we moved, and have a normal door now.

She still does it...

My first dog that was truly mine was one we picked up after he came from a dog fighting ring, so most of the "weird shit" he would do is stuff like just run head long into anything and not give two fucks whether it was bigger, stronger, faster, and/or deadlier than him as long as he got to where he wanted to go.

...

he also had a habit of jsut walking in a straight line once his path was set, and he pretty much just went right over you if you were in his way. That, and before he could sleep anywhere he always paced the area of the room, no matter the shape or size of the room no less than four times before he would lay down in dead center.

EDIT

Oh, and if you wanted to keep him busy, if you put something like peanut butter on a screen door with a glass door inbetween that (and sometimes wood door if he knew it was there before you closed it or if there was space for him to smell it) he would just lick the door in the spot where the peanut butter was nd try to get it. And it was always funny cause after about five minutes hed stop and look back at you or walk to you and sit there in a satisfied way like he ate all of it. but then he'd go right back tot he peanut butter if you let him at the screen door with nothing in between it even less than a minute after he'd walk up to you.

One of my cats has a habit of, when he wants me to play with him, taking his favourite toy mouse in his mouth and toss it into the air, then pounces on it and tosses it into the air again. Until it lands close to me which is when he sits and stares at me expectantly. But he STILL won't fetch dammit!

My mom's dogs speak english. they use growls, snarls, etc, to form words in english, usually gathering into short coherent sentience. examples:

"I want one."
"I love you."
"momma."

so it's usually stuff a young toddler would say. still interesting.

fighting ring?....wouldnt that make him agressive/unstable? by the sounds of it I supose not...

anyway my dog (not mine the familys) would sort of "army crawl" and roll around on the carpet..voicing her pleasure "aaaaaarrrrooooo...orrrraaaahhhh"

makes me wonder somtiems if it wasnt some form of doggie masterbation

she would also run around the rouse if you stired her up enough

One of my kittens likes to climb up me and sit on my shoulder like a parrot...

The same kitten also likes to jump in the bin. I think it's for food, but he gets stuck and can't get back out afterwards. D:<

My other kitten likes to massage my face with his claws while licking my face. He has a goofy look on his face when he does it. xD

A few of the cats we've had over the years have chirped back at birds. It usually happens when they're sitting below a nest. Sounds kind of like they're mocking the birds in that 'this is what you sound like' manner. Or maybe trying to entice them down with fluent birdspeak. I don't know.

my dog does that at my cottage and I always laugh!
She also has this small toy with a sweeker in it she will forget to let that go and I will get another toy and she will try and take it from me but every time she tries to chop on the other toy the toy in her mouth squeeks. aka my dog is partially retarded but I love her anyway.
also she always hides her treats in my room for later eatings which does not work for her because when I leave the house, I close my door to my room.

My cat chews brush bristles. Brooms, dustpan brushes, the fireshide brush, even the toilet brush. To the point where we had to buy a 'clean' unused toilet brush to stop him chewing the dirty one. Stupid cat.

he was. When we first got him the first thing he did was bite my uncle on the wrist and arm. But we broke him of that. he was still aggressive as all hell when he needed to be, and one of my more vibrant memories of him is two years after I got him, we had this problem with wolves around some of the properties closer to the woods (they got more adventurous and stopped caring about if the human lived there and just walked on and around the property), and my dog saw one close to the house and just tore into it and killed it.

...

Of course he was a big dog. he was a Mastador (mastiff/lab mutt) and he was (from what I understood from the when the "owner" was arrested) the biggest of the litter. By the time he died the biggest he had been was 138 lbs.

When I used to live at my sister's house her dog Monty did ALL sorts of weird shit. I'll give a couple examples.

He would always come down to my room (Which was in the basement) to wake me up in the mornings. He didn't wake me up the way a normal dog would. That way of course is when they lick your face and/or bark. No, he would jump on my bed, get as close to my face as possible without actually touching me, and whine. Very, very quietly, almost a whisper. Then, when I'd open my eyes. He'd turn his head away and pretend he didn't see me.

Also, I'd occasionally give him some left-over food of mine when I was done eating. I'd get a few spoonfuls and give him some. While most dogs would just immediately lunge for the food and put the whole spoon in their mouth, Monty decided to be different. He would tilt his head to the left slightly, then tilt it to the right. Sometimes switching quickly. Until he found an angle he liked, then he'd slowly move forward with his tongue slightly extended. Slowly, until he made contact. He slowly pushed the food off the spoon, and ate it off the floor.
