I will be going on a 9 hour road trip with my family (always fun right?) and I'm debating what to do with my time. I've decided that I might replay pokemon Fire red, but am tired of using the same party constantly. So I decided I would let your forum goers pick my team! Note that I will be in a car, so there's no way for me to trade pokemon over, so please only pick pokemon available in Fire red.

Bear in mind it's been a long time since i played Pokemon (about a decade) but if it's an option, i'll add my vote for Raichu. He's cute and cuddly and he can power a hairdryer, what more could you want from a Pokemon?

To counter some electric moves, and just for something also cute and strong (that can also learn dig/cut), I'll add a Sandslash.
My Pokémon party is always at its best with a Kadabra (I wish I had someone to trade and get Alakazam). He's not very good defensively, but he's got that one-hit KO power when he learns better moves.
