So, I'm walking through my local game store yesterday and what do I see but a display for a new Pikmin on the Wii. Huzzah! Oh wait, I was misled. It's a -remake- of Pikmin for the Gamecube...not a new title.
But aren't all Gamecube games backwards compatible? Wasn't that one of Nintendo's big selling points? Some digging around on the internet turned up that this will be the first in what they're calling the "Masterpiece" series.

Is it just me or does this just seem like a cheap marketing ploy to make consumers purchase games they already own? If I'm wrong and there is new content or it's going to be priced at like $20 please let me know.
