This game just makes everything Ubisoft has ever done look like trash. Probably going to be my front runner for GOTY 2025 as there really isn't anything that's got me hyped for coming this year. The showcase looks fucking amazing and also makes what I thought was gonna be a smaller spin-off look just as big as Infinite Wealth at the very least.

I like how this game has Devil May Cry style combat. The series really needed a true shake up. I am interested now.

It looks like it plays like most other Yakuza games, just a better engine. The Judgement games have a great combat system like this as well.

You normally don't do air combos in these games, so this a first for the franchise and a complete shake up.

So, do people who play all the Yakuza games only play Yakuza games? Because how the fuck are you supposed to keep up with this? I could play every entry, from 0 to infinite Wealth, and have 10 more titles waiting for me by the end of it.

As long as we're not counting Japan-only titles, there's at least a sixth one you missed in Dead Souls. I'm not surprised that you missed it since it's only on PS3 and was never that well regarded to begin with, but it is still there.

OT though, I kinda missed Gaiden and IW, but I'm going to try not to miss this one.

Yeah back in the PS2 day I tried playing 1 and 2 back to back and overdose hard, didn't touch the franchise until last dragon. One a year is insane.

I didn't count dead souls because it isn't really available anymore

Alright, maybe I was a bit too harsh on the game the first few hours in. Game is more enjoyable than most stuff out there, but it also has too much exposition introducing the the game's side content like the food delivery, Standing Moped and island traversal sections. Which sucks, cuz when the game gets going in terms of combat, it is pretty fun.

What chapter do you unlock the arcade? I will literally get this game to play Spikeout.

Fuck! Does it take long to get there?
Depends if you skip the cutscenes or not. If you actually watch the story, expect it to take a few hours; if you really don't care and just want to fast-forward it should only take one or two.

Oh, one other thing @BrawlMan: It's possible to play the arcade games in local multiplayer from the main menu, if you have someone to play with. SpikeOut and Ocean Hunter can be played in split-screen co-op, Daytona 2* in split-screen, and Virtua Fighter 3 (both versions) and Fighting Vipers 2 like normal.

* It's called 'Sega Racing Classic 2', but that's only because of IP law. For all intents and purposes, it's Daytona 2.
