Hey guys,
So I'm building my first computer and I need some help with the parts. I'm not really looking for some hardcore gaming or anything, just the typical RTS like game (LoL, Diablo, Total War etc.) and would like to know if this is too much or too little. So far this is what I've got:

Optical Drive: Asus 16X DVD-ROM Internal IDE - Black

Monitor: Acer X223W LCD Monitor - 22" - 1680x1050 - 300cd/m2 - 5ms - DVI/VGA (ET.EX3WP.D01)

This add's up to about $900 CAN/dls without tax.
Any suggestions? Any problems?
Sorry for being a pest, but I want to make sure I do this right.

Thanks for looking it over,

The 2x2 GB might be a problem. You might want to go with a single 4GB just in case you want to upgrade. Some games are starting to make use of more than 4 GB of memory.

If you can spend about 40 more dollars on your graphics card try to get a GDDR5 memory card. There is a largely notable difference.

Have you double checked your power supply. Try to find reviews on it before you buy because a lot of Power supply's cant supply the Watts the box says it can. (probably wont be a problem for you since your rig doesn't seem too power heavy)

Another website to double check your prices would be Newegg.ca but the one your using seems fairly competitive in pricing.

If you are building a gaming machine on a budget I would try to look at AMD processors.

No, a 2x2 is better as the memory will then run in dual channel mode.
True but as I said this is only in case he or she wants to upgrade in the future.

DDR3 memory is so insanely cheap right now it wouldn't be much of a hardship to throw away the other 2 DIMMs or hell, just add 2 more 2GB sticks.
But if you are going by that reasoning shouldn't he just buy 2 sticks of 4 GBs?

It's a budget build, 4GB right now is sufficient.
Well he could save $15 with going with only 1 4GB. We should stop, this entire thread is just you and I arguing about the least important thing.

On another note You might want to reconsider your monitor. Here is a similarly priced monitor with a higher resolution (on sale right now price may change soon).
