So i've had a username which I shall not specify for around 6 years now and i've done alot of stupid stuff with it, and I've been thinking of getting a new one for a while now, but i can't make up my mind on anything. I want to change my xbox live gamertag aswell so i can't just choose one at random, its going to cost me like, 900 ms points.

Thanks.

To quote Strongbad: Take your favorite activity, add 'guy'/'girl'/'dude'/'izzle' on the end, and then toss in a series of numbers. TADA!

But seriously, my buddy recommended 'Inflatable Love Goat' to me the other day. I passed, but you're welcome to have it.

Got it:

Trilogy of Knowledge

It comes from Romanian Philosophy around the late 1800s.
(Hopefully link is ok! If not then feel free to remove, MODs!)

What about 'the socialised gadfly'? It's a reference to two things (more for less).

1. It's the occupation of Charles Globe from 'Ren and Stimpy' (what is considered by many to be the best cartoon ever made).
2. It is also what Socrates was refered to on one occasion (at least, that's what I learned in Philosophy).

I've always been partial to "Barrel Rolls Royce." Only really works if you're a fan of Star Fox, or have a penchant for wooden-built but highly-expensive luxury cars.

EDIT
I think it's worth noting that after posting this, I got an idea, then spent 30 minutes carefully going over the default lack-of-avatar in MS Paint and came up with an equivalent for a person named Barrel Rolls Royce. I'm such a dork.

[sup]If anyone wants to, they're welcome to use that for their avatar.[/sup]

I always think that a Username is an important thing, it should reflect on your personality. Give off the right first impression, you only get to make one. Even if it is just a nickname it should still be something you came up with.

Knight of the Infinite?

Kierekegaardian concept for one belonging to the sphere of the ethical but not yet ready to transcend over and above into faith. Plus it sounds kinda awesome.

Cant decide between two names? Just wack them together and add in a couple of xx's for style

Have a name so long that you spam the forum just by saying hello.

Be who you were born to me, Mr unpronoucable name guy.

Enough ripping off a youtube vid for now, just think of a sounds and stick them together so they sound like a name, like Seldar, Fertash. Or steal someone elses name and add some numbers on the end :D

How about Guy Incognito?

Try entering you name or initials into one of the many hundreds of name generators on the internet, I'm sure you'll find something you like.

Or you could do what I did & take the 1st syllable of your first name & the 1st syllable of your surname, maybe add the 1st syllable of you middle name too if it fits, then put them together & hope it makes a good sounding name.

I have to agree with Kenny on this one. That's where I got "vanguard" from. The word vanguard means:

1. the foremost division or the front part of an army; advance guard; van.
2. the forefront in any movement, field, activity, or the like.

I mainly play FPSs, and when I do I'm usually the guy running out at the front of a group, the first one to kill someone, the first one to die, and so on. So I took the name "Vanguard" because it reflects my playing style.

Just think about your personality, the way you play, and stuff like that. Something good will come to you eventually.

Depends on how much of an explanation you want behind the name and how many people you want to get it. My user name is gonna be quickly recognized by anyone whose seen an Alfred Hitchcock movie, but otherwise not register. I'm comfortable with that but you have to ask how many people you want to get the name itself.

I dunno...WilltoPower, HemlockShake, LanguageGame if you want to get philosophical.

Miranda, Prospero, Coriolanus if you want to get quasi-obscure Shakespeare.

Just think of your favorite book or movie and pick a character from it. That's all I did.

Yeah it's cool if you're blessed with a name which works, not so good if you're called something like Wanda Kershaw.
