all my life i have loved the tv series and the games of pokemon. ever since the original gameboy game i have fallen in love with the creation but lately i have been disapointed in the gameing of pokemon. the last good one made was pokemon ruby/sapphire/emerald. i dont think they should have mada another region and all that shit. anyways i think that nintendo need to let sega and/or microsoft develope a pokemon game that can be played on the xbox360/playstation3 because i dont think the wii is that good. what are your thoughts about it? and what are your thoughts about a storyline on a new game? persionally i think it should be exacually like the gameboy games but all the pokemons voices in english and you should be able to choose good/bad/evil/teamrocket/other teams ect.

I think you should have more direct control over the pokemon e.g being able to dodge an attack through timing rather the the game's number crunching. Also I think it should move towards real time; turn based combat in the games is getting mighty stale.

Well im not sure if the Concepts of Good/Evil has been Pokified yet.
But im assuming that's what the Legendary pokemon are gonna represent in Black and White, kind of a Yin Yang thing.
And im willing to bet you that there will be another legendary that Represents Balance in the game released as a expansion to Black/White(kinda like Sapphire, Platinum, and Cristal did).

Anyway On Topic, i don't think much needs to be done.
I like the series as it is.

Pokemon on the non-handheld consoles is a joke, a shitty, joke. It needs to be left on hand-held consoles. The series has evolved, yes, but also you're forgetting it's your opinion. Do you really want me to go through a few hundred pages on another forum and count how many people are super excited for black and white?


You need to let things die, they won't always be enjoyable to you as you'll end up growing up and finding them stale.

Also since I forgot to mention it and you didn't pay attention. Nintendo doesn't make Pokemon, Gamefreak does, Nintendo just publishes them and basically has a great deal with GameFreak when you consider there's a blasted Pokemon Theme Park (I wish I was joking)

Some of the newer Pokemon are cool, or at least grew on me. I mean, look at Rotom...

You have an Electric/Ghost type that, on demand, can learn 5 very powerful moves, each of a different type, for FREE (as long as you know where to change his form). Some of his forms look pretty stupid, but that's still fucking impressive.

Not to mention that any fan of Avatar (the show) that I've talked to can see Blaziken Firebending.

An RTS Pokemon game would be incredibly fun for me...oh you didn't mean it like that...well I still agree.

Also, I hate the people who say "Gen I is best, rest all suck". Ok, you don't like them, then just stay away from the series.

I doubt they'll be changing their format as long as people continue to buy their games. I'm just hoping for some decent bad guys. You've got monsters that breathe fire and shoot lightning that are controlled by throwing little balls at them. That deserves a decent enemy to fight!

They're fun games, so I really have no problem with them continuing to make them. Sure, some of the new Pokemon look stupid, but lots of the original 150 look stupid, too. The only reason we don't think so is because they were the first.

Pokemon is awesome. With each generation, the metagame (or competitive scene) changes drastically, and always for the better. And since that's the only part of Pokemon that matters, I see no reason for them to change the formula.

Seriously, all the people who claim Pokemon hasn't changed since RBY/GSC... go to Smogon [http://smogon.com], download Shoddy Battle, and realize how deep the game has become. Back in Gen I-II, there was only an Attack and Defense stat. Now, because of the Gen III Stat Switch (adding Special Attack and Special Defense in addition to ATK/DEF), the game has exploded strategically.

Add in the wonders of GenIV like Baton Pass, and competitive Pokemon is one of the most exhilirating hobbies out there.
