So I was going through a few YouTube videos a few days back, and I happened upon a Let's Play by one of the people I follow, where they went through some of the latest Pok?mon games, Sun and Moon. I watched it for a bit and I thought to myself, "huh, this looks pretty fun". After that, I started doing some digging about the games and seeing all the rave reviews about it, and as such, I started thinking that maybe it's be worth getting the game myself.
But the problem I have is this. It's been a LONG time since I had anything to do with Pok?mon. Sure, like a lot of kids back then, I was hyped about it as all Hell. I watched the TV show, collected the cards (though I don't actually remember playing any games with them if I'm honest), and of course, I had some of the video games. And while I loved them at the time, I eventually stopped, like a lot of people did. So Pokemon, for me, is just something that I knew was still popular, but could never bring myself to get back into.
And just to make the choice even more difficult for me, I know full well that the games will probably be completely unrecognisable to me from what I knew them to be back in the day. Just to give some context, the last game in this franchise I ever touched was the original Silver Version, back when it was first released in 2001. So yeah, chances are the game will be pretty different from what I was used to.
So, that's the question. Is it worth me trying to get back into these games, given just how long it's been seven I've had anything to do with Pok?mon?
Oh, and one other question. If the general consensus is that I SHOULD get back into it, would the Sun version be better, or the Moon version? Because I don't really want to have to do that whole "get both of them" thing that they keep doing.
