So Pokemon's finally gone full 3D. But the graphics are still kinda outdated. And they're making even more unnessecary Pokemon.

I see, well ... it should be alright I suppose. Can't say the water type starter looks appealing but I still feel optimistic about this one.TheKasp said:They always only show the starters first. But by rule of thumb: New Gen = New critters.Spambot 3000 said:Are there actually any other new pokemon apart from the 3 starters and the two legendaries? Because that footage didn't show any other pokemon apart from them at all. Mind you, if they didn't introduce another 100 I'd be mighty pleased with that. I'm just wondering.
Edit: The footage also shows the new legendaries.
They haven't said anything about how many new Pokemon there will be, probably because they haven't finalised it yet.Spambot 3000 said:Are there actually any other new pokemon apart from the 3 starters and the two legendaries? Here's hoping it's a dual type that isn't Fire/Fighting. And hope it evolves into something other than another Kitsune.endtherapture said:The fire one is pretty much a direct copy of Vulpix.
Based on it's name "Fennikin" It's based on a Fennec fox rather than a red fox.TheEvilCheese said:Here's hoping it's a dual type that isn't Fire/Fighting. And hope it evolves into something other than another Kitsune.endtherapture said:The fire one is pretty much a direct copy of Vulpix.

My guess would be that since older Pokemon were shown in the footage, they aren't going to be like Black and White and have 150+ new ones that are the only ones you can find pre-Elite Four. They usually start revealing the new designs a few at a time leading to launch so I guess we'll have to wait to find out how many more are needed to catch 'em all.
Well I was kinda hoping they'd show us at least one other pokemon just so I could get a feel as to whats out there to catch, although what you said makes sense.A Smooth Criminal said:Ummm... I don't think they're going to show all of the Pokemon in a small teaser trailer. They only show the main ones which will be featured to show that there will be new Pokemon in the next games. Also, they've already done four games on the 5th gen Pokemon, I doubt that they'd make ANOTHER 2 games featuring those Pokemon.Spambot 3000 said:Are there actually any other new pokemon apart from the 3 starters and the two legendaries? Yeah, that's fair enough. Anyways, Fennekin looks good to me so that will at least prevent the rare problem of me not being able to beat the first gym because I projectile vomit whenever I send out my hideous starter - so all's good.TheKasp said:For me personally: There wasn't an unevolved, appealing starter for me in the first place. Unless they have a fuck-ugly final form I also don't really care because I won't look at that image very long. Or I just replace it during playtime (I replaced my waterstarter in Pokemon Black with Kingdra after it became avaiable).
OK, first, that is one of the cutest pictures I've ever seen. Thank you.Eclipse Dragon said:Based on it's name "Fennikin" It's based on a Fennec fox rather than a red fox.TheEvilCheese said:Here's hoping it's a dual type that isn't Fire/Fighting. I don't think it will look like Ninetails in the end, since it gets three stages instead of two. I really hope it's not fire/fighting though.![]()
If it does take a Ninetails turn, I'm also hoping it doesn't end up looking anything like this...
