Sturgeons law, about 90% of everything is crap. Movies, video games, anime, music, you name it. Of course, the vast majority is simply crap because it's mediocre or uninteresting, only a percentage of that smaller than the 10% of good stuff is really, really horrible.

I'd say more in the 80's personally, but I agree for the most part. Looking at the poll results, it seems that a lot of escapists feel the same way.

Although, as jaded as I and many others are, I think it's hard to deny that there are some things and people that should truly be cherished.

Most statistics are made up on the spot, and if i remember rightly people tend to be much more likely to believe and arguement that uses percentages.

OT: I wouldn't agree that 90% of everything is shit, i think the world is just full of pessemists.
