So this book or should I say novel I have is based off of a video game known to many as Devil May Cry. It was published by Tokyopop and wrote by Shin-Ya Goikeda. The only reason I found out about this was by chance at a local bookstore. After I thumbed through it I found it rather interesting taking from the fact it's based off a simple hacker slaher shoot-um-up styled game. What's more is that they made a second novel to follow after the first game into the second.
In anycase, what do other's think of the novels. How does that compare with the game? In what ways did it give insight to the character relations?
Personally I just found the first novel awesome for the fact that Dante's deciding rivalery with "Gilver" was a drinking contest with Vodka. It was also nice to get an idea where Dante's pistols origin from.
As for the second book it was alright. Half-way done, but I haven't finished it just yet.
