Poll: A question about 4chan

From my browsing on here, I can't help but notice: a lot of you guys seem to really dislike 4chan. I'm not sure if this is really the case or just a few people I've seen, but why is that? I go to 4chan often. I love it! I actually went there out of curiosity when I saw someone on here warn about how they'd seen terrible shit on there, but dear lord, it's just not hateable. /b/ is hilarious (at least when you scroll past the inevitable child porn/gore/rate me thread), /x/ often times has some killer creepypasta, and the rest, well, they have something for everyone. Why is it you guys, or at least a hefty amount of you, seem to hate 4chan?

4Chan is likely the biggest collection of bad blood on the internet. Just a bunch of people that vent out all their asshole ways because they don't get out enough and don't know how to socialize...

I don't know, it's not a very safe place if your not ready to get raped several times for ever second you spend on it.

Exactly which boards do you go on? Because how much shit you need to go through to get to the good stuff is dependant on your board of choice. As an example, for /tg/ (Traditional Games) and /x/ (Paranormal), it's about one bad thread for every twenty or so decent ones. /b/ would be one good thread to every fifty+ bad threads.

I went on 4chan for the first time in ever because of this website and I regret it. All it is is either random spams of PUDDI! or porn...that's it. I also went through every letter or whatever the hell they are, looking for something intresting...

4chan seems to get alot of stigma from the fads that spawn from there, from "i herd u leik mudkipz" to pedobear. some of the content on 4chan is quite funny, but seeing how it makes these 14 year old brats i tend to avoid it.

It all depends on your attitude towards it. Most of the "hate" goes towards /b/ because that's where a lot of the trolling, spamming and various other internet douchebaggery occurs. I enjoy most of the boards there like /w/, /wg/, /x/, the paranormal board, /gif/, and the flash boards after i can determine what's a rick roll and what isnt.

So you just looked at /b/ I'm guessing? There's more to it than that, as has been pointed out. Try again on, say, almost any other board

I don't like /b/ but that is just me /v/ can have an occassional good thread but I don't really frequent it that often due to the random nature of the site. I like my internet more structured.

The problem with 4chan was the growth. In the beginning there were less trolls per/post. Once news organizations stated talking about the place I knew the trolls we're never going away...sigh.

Still I'm pro nearly anything that shouts "anonymity" as its war cry.
