Do you prefer to have a large group of friends that you hang out with occasionally or a small group of friends that you know really well and hang out with all of the time?

(Please note that this is my first time posting a topic with a poll.)

Pretty much what I have... I have few very close friends, and a large extended group - or groups, rather; sports team-mates, gaming clan-mates, see-you-next-Saturday-when-we're-getting-boozed-again-mates.

Not sure if I'd be able to pick between either of the extremes - having been in both positions at some point I know I can live with it, but wouldn't want to do so for too long.

I prefer to have a small circle of close friends/one or two really close friends as opposed to lots of not so close friends. The lots of not so close friends, to me, is empty. Sure, social prestige and all, but you don't really get to know them/get anything from them because your attention is so widely spread.

A prefer a smalll group of close friends you can fully trust but then a larger group that are just called "friends", of which you dont trust or speak to AS MUCH but are still friends with them

i prefer not to have friends at all. the best life is doing what you love without being bothered by people.

it has proven a difficult hobby since what i love is experimenting on people.

Hmm... I don't seem to fit anywhere on your poll.

I have a small group of close friends that I hardly ever hang out with. (its not because I'm a social outcast; its because I live 200 miles away from them all :( )

Well all my friends are rank 20 mudkips =D

I like having close friends around than just distance friends because they are empty to me

I kind of have two groups of friends.
I have my in school friends who I never see out of school.
Then I have my out of school friends, most of whom I went to primary school with. They're the people I go out with to the park or gigs etc.

I've found the best way to go is to have an extensive group of friends who are on the borders of being acquaintances and a small group of very close friends who know me better than they should.

This means I get a balance either way. I have people I can turn to if it's something that I need support with and knowing me well is required, and I have others with whom I can make jokes, jerk around a bit with facades and the like. All in good fun.

I had the same thing, as soon as school finished i hardly talked to anybody from school, because they where just my "school friends"

EDIT: This is my 100th post, woooop?? :)

I'd say a little bit of both. It's good to have one solid group of friends and a bunch of people you know a little and talk to.
