Well, let's start with an anecdote.
Last week at an undisclosed relatives birthday, another relative of mine, who works for Activision, was drinking and trying to make conversation.

He started talking about how work was picking up after E3 and the nearing of the release date for Call of Duty: Black Ops. It was then that he began to rant about characters in the game. He then mentioned somthing about how he hopes that there will be a positive fan response to Price showing up in yet another Call of Duty game, but worried that the cameo may seem unecessary since this game isn't related to the current "Modern Warfare" storyline.

So what do you all think? Will the random appearance be good for you? Or will it just be an annoying gimmick? Or will you just not give a damn either way?

Feel free to comment and answer the poll.

Personally I don't know if I'll really notice. I liked Gaz as a character much more than I ever liked Price.

EDIT: I also hope my relative doesn't get in trouble for disclosing this information.

Well, taking your word for it. I would honestly not be surprised if Price turned up in Black Ops in some form or another. Say, the final level where you rescue someone who then later turned out to be rescuing himself and when they ask who he his, the screen goes black and he says. "Just call me... Price."

Calumon: It writes itself!

Seeing as how Captain Price was in the very first Call of Duty and the second, I'd be almost disappointed if he didn't make a cameo or two. Captain Price (or more likely, his moustache) is a very integral part of Call of Duty. Without the Mou- Captain Price, where would Call of Duty be?

Meh I have no problems with it, he's a pretty cool character and recognizable. My only issues are with the gameplay, length of the campaign and Activision.

He was in like three other WWII COD games so I don't see how this is anything new.
I am sure he was in the original (thank you MW2 Hardened Edition); I never played the first Call of Duty 2, only "Big Red One", and there's a third?

Captain price is like the Icon of CoD, truth be told i kinda like him, his large and disturbingly clone-ish family are the like the horsemen of the apocalapse.

Im sure CoD:11 will be about Price's clone army.

On topic- You have a relative that works for Activision?
I think that could be bull-sh*t...
You do have a pave-low symbol as your avatar, so you could be a overly excited Call of Duty fan trying to stir up a storm with false rumors.
Then again, I may be wrong; please tell me if I am...

I could start swearing, but I knew when I witheld information, like his name for instance, for his own security, that people would call shenanigans and bull-sh*t. If you don't want to believe me, then don't.
And even though the chances of someone being closely related to someone employed at Activision are slim, they are still slim. I'm not going to say I'm fortunate for being related to him (We barely ever get free things or anything exclusive).

And as for the Avatar; I am not a huge fan of the games, but when I do play I use the Pavelow. I think the Pavelow is the Best Killstreak reward, but that's a story for a different thread.

I like Price and all, but i heard that Sgt Reznov would be appearing in Black Ops. I'm much more looking forward to that.

For Price to appear in Black Ops, he'd need to be really young, which would most likely make him a private.

Just a heads up, dont give away any info on your relative, he can likely get into deep shit from leaked info since he was probably contract bound.

Cpt. Price cares not for time paradoxes. He is eternal, much like his moustache.
