I just enjoyed getting creative in the Hit Man games, and found the Splinter Cell franchise kinda linear in comparison. But then again it may have just been the way I played games at the time.

47 of course. A master of disguise, improvisation and expert marksman with all type of weapons. His actions are cold and calculated. Sam is a great character, better character than 47 and I like him more, but he would lose against 47 because he is known to act on emotion from time to time.

Who the hell is Agent 47?

If you have to answer that, it proves that it's a character that doesn't matter. I'm guessing Agent 47 is from Psi-Ops.

Agent 47. No question.

He does the exact same job as Fisher with a fraction of the gadgets.

Imagine Agent 47 with Fisher's little toys. Unstoppable.

As both would rely on stealth it would be the most paranoid who would win. Sam, aside from his assasination job, leads a perfectly normal life. 47 on the other hand lives in the shadows, shoots delivery people in case they tip off anyone as to where he is and generally trusts no-one. I doubt he even sleeps. Sam would have a bloody hard time tracking him down, let alone managing to kill him. After all, I doubt 47 hears a sound and assumes its the wind and I bet he has the common sense to check shadows.

As others have said, 47 is a killing machine, and if you have every tried to snipe on Splinter Cell you know its about worthless, 47 on the other hand..

For the games. Really I like Hitman more. Each job has so many ways you can go about it, usually with one or two expected ways, and a million improvised ones. Pandora Tomorrow had some of the awesomist multiplayer imaginable however. And splinter cell has co-op, which is another notch in its belt.

I will say that Hitman is really easier in the terms of just "beating" a level. If you don't care how you win almost every level can just be gunned through very quickly. But it is a lot more fun to play with the levels. Like see if you can knock out every single person without ever being caught.

My favorite level in Hitman ever, I had to kill some Russian diplomats (or something) they are meeting in a park, I knock out the first lone guard I see, take uniform and AK. Walk right between the guards posted at the gate of the park (almost setting off tension meter) bust a cap in the two, and walk right back out (out of instinct I was reloading my AK right between the guards). Silent Assassin rating.
