The Ceph, easily. They have guns... and spaceships... and invisibility. Whereas the "Aliens" are just mindless monsters.

The Aliens from "Aliens".

Because "Aliens" is a classic film, and H.R. Giger's Alien is a classic movie monster.

And because Crysis is deeply stupid.

Depends on many facehuggers they get to start the infection. It could go either way if the colony can get established, remember they inherit their hosts strengths.

I'd give it to the xenomorphs because anything that's so metal it bleeds acid wasn't designed to lose.

Because if they were still on the island from the first game, then the aliens would infest every member of the local wildlife, meaning the aliens would be fucked.

They'd have to nuke the site from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.

Ceph. As has been said, they have very advanced technology whereas Geiger's aliens are just savage beasts.

Well, the Ceph obviously. They have guns, mechs and spaceships.

But I'm barracking for the Xenomorphs anyway because they're more interesting.

The aliens from Aliens.

I don't know about the aliens from Crysis 1 but the aliens were so thick in Crysis 2 that I snuck past all of them on Supersoldier and I didn't fire a shot until the last level.

Edit: and that helicopter. But it wasn't much.

Humans in the Aliens universe have guns, space ships and mechs, yet still lose often to xenomorphs.
So Cephs don't have anything the humans don't have.
Knowing that,advantage: Xenomorphs.

To be fair the only time we saw them up against an organized military force in the movies (Alien 4 & AvP just does not count), it was against 1-2 squads with no conventional weapons (save for Vasquez and Drake), and the marines were confused, had bad leadership, no experience or real idea with what they were up against and were freaking the fuck out in the Aliens home turf.

I'm still siding with them tho, they may not have guns but they are intelligent, stealthy and resourceful.

I'd say that the xenomorphs would win, provided they get a colony started. They were able to overrun the Yautja (Predators) from the first AvP movie by swarming them.

Either place that the xenomorphs get started, Manhattan or the original island, has lots of lifeforms that they can use to create drones or queens. In Manhattan the facehuggers could get to normal humans or can get to the Manhattan Zoo (imagine monkey, tiger, wolf or even elephant-bred drones drones).
On the original island there's all of the indigenous wildlife, plus whatever humans are there.

And it is possible, I think, for the xenomorphs to infect Ceph troops as well.

Ceph.

Xenomorphs aren't going to be able to take down a Ceph Pinger (walker-thingy). Everytime the Xenomorphs managed to climb up onto the hull, the Pinger just does it's AOE stun and they'll all fall off.

Logic means nothing to you, does it?

Obviously the Ceph would win. They are an advanced alien race. Xenomorphs are just monsters. They are dangerous against humans and Predators, but they wouldn't be able to do much damage to flying invisible machine aliens.

The Alien is the good guy in this circumstance, because they are iconic pop cultural touchstones, and Crysis is a numbskull and eminently forgettable shooter.
