Halloween should be celebrated everywhere! It's the one day in the year that cosplay is socially acceptable.

OT: I would just go in a Bobby Kotick mask with a copy (most likely printed out cover art) of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 with the price sticker.
O GODS NO STOP THE HORROR!!!! Brilliant idea by the way, should definitely get you a thumbs-up from every gamer you encounter.
But I've got quite a few ideas for costumes:
- 1950's Gangster
- John Crichton (in his leather outfit) from Farscape
- A Peacekeeper officer again from Farscape
- Han Solo
- The Riddler
- The Joker, Batman Arkham Asylum style.
- A Colonial officer from Battlestar Galactica
- A STALKER
- A Fallout Wastelander
I think I could make those work, and I've probably forgotten some as well. And yes I'm a nerd, you wouldn've guessed that now would you.

Yeah sure. The original reasons are as dead as, well, fucking Christmas.
While I always preferred New Year's - if you're going to celebrate another useless day, might as well celebrate the one that ends the calendar year... Or begins, if you do it the right way and start celebrating at 11.59 PM on December 31.
New Year's doesn't give you an excuse to dress up though. Well, it gives you an excuse to dress up, but in a nice suit, which is cool on it's own, but not the same as Halloween. Yes I make little sense, I just woke up.
