I adore rainy weather, the coolness it brings to the air and the light tapping on cement is so peaceful to me. I've never been the kind to like summer and the sun so funny enough the "gloominess" actually brightens up my day.

I do like rain, but I do not like having wet clothes. If I can be in the rain with little to no clothes on, then I do enjoy the weather. Otherwise, no.
Wait the op is a Brit and love rain? What sorcery is this? No offence but anyone who lived in the UK knows how much rain we can get especially the amount of rains we got weeks ago! I guess I am fortunate enough that I don't lived in areas that can easily get flooded.
Hey, I live in York and a couple weeks ago there was some huge flooding, but we still enjoy the rain - so many tourists piled into the city to see the Ouse's burst banks (to the point that there was flooding right up the feeder streets into the main city area) and brought a ton of business to the coffee shops and cafes. That is getting so fucking tiring, "no you're never the only 1, there are 8 billion people", it's not a literal question! It's just a phrase that means "am I in the minority here?". People say the 8 billion thing like there the first to ever say it, there like one of those people who corrects everything.
Anyway, I like being inside something (house, tent, caravan etc) when it's raining ... the gentle pitter patter on the windows/canvass/plastic is nice, especially when you have a nice mug of tea/coffee and a bowl of soup! Of course having a brew and a soup is only good when your in a tent.

I love rain, especially thunderstorms, as long as I'm not outside in them. The sound, the smell, the way it makes the world look are all very pleasant to me. But I hate getting wet and having my vision obscured, so I prefer to be inside a house or under a roof rather than walking or driving in the rain.
