I read the books a ton when I was a kid. Almost read all of them. Didn't read a lot of the earlier books in the series.

I heard that the TV was pretty bad, so I'm gonna say books, too, though I haven't read them in years. As for my favorite character, I think I would have to say either Jake or Marco.

Not bad, I guess.

I hear from TV Tropes (The Repository of All Knowledge,) that the TV series was utter ass.
So you're a troper too, eh, Max?

Read em all when I was a kid. Quite entertaining, too bad the TV show was about as repulsive as the result of inserting your testicles into a golfball washing machine.

I loved the series as a kid. The ending was crazy.

Very bittersweet. They win, but at a big cost.
Rachel dies in the last battle.
Cassie splits from Jake and becomes a Park Warden to protect the Hork Bajir.
Ax is assimilated into an alien life form.
The others fly a ship into the alien life form, their fates unknown.

That's how I found The Escapist, actually.
Zero Punctuation quotes all over the site, so I figured I'd look into it.
Well ho-ly SHIT. Me too!

The books were better, I liked the little pictures in the corners.
The stories were good, too.

Considering I grew up with the books, and have never seen the TV series, The books go first in my heart.

Aximili-Esgarrouth-Isthill(Ax) is my favorite character, hands down. But I love the books written from Marco's point of view.

You know, I'm gonna go read the Andalite Chronicles...

Still own all the books. I think the series was only on the 14th book when I started reading it, and it ended around 50. Don't remember the series enough to pick out a favorite character, but the few things I do remember was when they added the new guy who turned on them, and when they were revealed to be humans to the aliens and went into hiding and such. PRetty cool stuff. Ending was awesome, but I would have liked a bit more closure.

The TV series was pretty shit, but the visual effects were pretty awesome for a kids TV series.

To answer the poll, the books were better. Like many here, I too read a lot of them, but never actually finished every book in the series. Pity, too, cuz in hindsight it was actually pretty creative and entertaining.

Those things were awesome.
I like how your reason for liking the books is "Those little pictures were so neat!"
That's not the only reason I liked them, but it is the main one.

It is the only reason i liked them too. But other than that they both sucked.
