You can disagree with a government without hating it's people. My opinions on Iran would be a good example.

Your grammar repulses me.

If you dislike them as a government, then it isn't anti-semitism. If you dislike them because they're jewish, then it is anti-semitism. Was it really that hard?

Of course not.
Anti-semitism is the hatred or dislike of Jewish people for the sole reason that they are Jewish.
Hating or disliking people for their actions who happen to be Jewish is not anti-semitism.
So, assuming that you are honest about only hating the Israeli government, you aren't anti-semitic.

I didn't like Bush (Jr), but that didn't mean i hated America, though it was a factor in my emigrating from the USA.

Only if you hate it because it is run by Jews. Otherwise it is just like hating any other government.

in general concept... no
in MOST cases... absolutely yes

hence why the UN has passed more resolutions against israel then any other nation on earth by far (out of 690 reslutions between 1947-1989, 429 were against israel)
and why the UN security council has, between its formation and 1989 (hence, not even related to the corrent conflict) passed 175 resolutions, of which 97 were against israel

so yes, the corrent hate of the israeli goverment, and the way it is portayed in the international views, are not based on logical considerations

anyone who thinks Anti-semitism is just someone saying "i hate jews" is sadly mistaken
its a social thing
its hearing stuff like "israel sells palestinian orgens" in the papers of europe and thinking "maybe its true"
its being willing to BELIEVE it when people say stuff like that
needless to say that if anyone tries to say such things about US and NATO forces in Afghanistan or iraq, he would be written off as a liar immediately

No. But I hear they have a habit of accusing people of it when they are critsisied ( or is it that people are unwiling to critsise the Isreali government for fear of being though as an anti-semite?).

That'd be like saying you think all Americans are imbeciles because the (recent) Bush administration were in control of the country and made some very stupid decisions..

No it isn't.

Although the Israeli government do like to portray that it is so that they can get away with war crimes.

I hate my own government. Particularly, I hated Jacqui Smith's creeping encroachment on civil liberties and Jack Straw's continual attempts to sneak through a bill which would make inquiries able to happen completely behind closed doors.

This does not mean that I think that I, myself, am a draconian dictatorial suspicious bastard.

I do know, however, that these accusations make it very, very hard to have any sort of mature debate on the subject.

It is absolutely possible to criticise a government without criticising the entirety of its population, and it's also, for that matter, possible to criticise both sides of a conflict.

Politics.. How tiresome.(cookie for the reference)
OT: I don't really dislike Israel more than I dislike any other country, it hasn't done anything to me. Still, much of what they are doing is moraly questionable, but that goes for their opponents aswell(and most other countries). (I am not PRO israel, nor am I against it.)

Edit:
Anyone thought of how peaceful the world be if everyone could drop their beliefs and become atheists?

Religious Wars.. In MY century? It's more likely than you think.

yes
and the fact that the UN passes more resolutions against israel then any nation on earth is of course PROOF that its an effective strategy
israel doesnt get away with war crimes by claiming Anti-semitism
israel is ACCUSED of war crimes because of Anti-semitism

hence why more then HALF of the UN security council resolutions are against israel

Ridiculous. The Isreali government is a group of hateful, idiotic old men. While Jews as a whole are just a group of people (That, in many cases, believe in a 2000 year old book).

Stop categorizing this shit folks!

Say what? You think the UN is anti-semetic when they created the Israeli state in the first place?

The UN inspectors doing the war crime investigation is saying BOTH sides commited crimes, it is unbiased and not motivated by some form of antijew ideas.
