Poll: Any fans of the 1999 AvP game hyped for the new game?

I can't begin to tell you how many hours I lost on that game. Seeing Predators, and Aliens, TOGETHER?! It was a dream come true. Glad to see it's back in the hands of Rebellion.

I'd like to say I've played the first but that would be a lie. I have the second though and it's just plain wicked in concept and execution. A current-gen title made with the same care and detail would be awesome, especially if the multiplayer is up to scratch.

I didn't like it as much as the first, but I'll agree that the second one was good. Rebellion didn't make it, though, and this marks their first time with the franchise on the PC in 10 years. (Will be 11 when it comes out, most likely.)

Plus, the first one's online was ACE.

I only really liked AVP extinction when I think about it, the RTS mostly because there were the aliens, colonial marines and predators. I just thought it was crazy fun, especially as the aliens where corpses are an valued resource.

Ahh I didn't know the second wasn't by the makers of the first. I'll have to see if I can find it somewhere (and get it to work too) because I've heard that its great. It's a formula that can't fail (apart from the first film because they made it M, the second was fun I don't care what anyone says - although the predalien's way of breeding was silly).

I've been dying for a new one, because the multiplayer as fantastic. I had just gotten Half Life 2, and still played AVP over it.

I heard some grand war stories about this game (Original AvP) and while I only got to play AvP2 (Which I enjoyed) I'm optimistic about the original developers getting back into it. I hope it's had it's sequelitis shots.

Hell yes. I played though the entire predator campaign at about 10 frames per second on my old PC. New one looks fun.

I did like AvP, but far preferred AvP2 (by Monolith I think), because I thought the single player campaigns were better.

I wouldn't say I was hyped for this, but I am hopeful that it will be good, and I'll get it if it lives up to its predecessors.

Sorry had a fanboy overload there but yeah wooo new AvP played the crap out of both 1 and 2 but found the multiplayer in 2 to be better.
