Poll: Are you a Camper

Easy question.

If you do, you ruin the game.

(Sniping is camping by nature, and that is how you use the weapon, so you do not count. This refers to when you are using anything except a sniper rifle.)

I have a lot of time in online shooters. I know the percentage of Campers to Players. (Camping is not playing the game.)

So just be honest.

I hate camping. I run around, usually with my Vector. Just went 31-11 in hardcore TDM a little while ago.

I camp when I have to go get a glass of water or something.

I'm not that good because I never get any kills and mostly I'm camping right in the middle of the map and someone shoots me.

i said no, but in games where u need to defend an objective then camping is expected and needed to win and obviously snipers like u said but even then good ones will move around

a. its totally pointless to run around ie:i suck cock that game
b. when its a snipers game on halo or in the case of COD a sniper map even then i move around

in conclusion: i camp when i need to which is rare

I only camp if the other team is beating us badly, i ether get mad at campers and dont stop going to where they are so i can kill them or just avoid where they are.

sometimes, in all fairness the one time I got my nuke I ended up camping on accident. that is to say I sat on a rock on Afghan that was right after a turn killed someone reloaded killed someone reloaded, ect. and it happened that if I had moved I would have died. I did that for 7 kills then used killstreak rewards to get the rest.

Sorry to disagree but camping is far better than running around in my opinion. I play TF2 and I have the cloak and dagger. I hide in corners and stay hidden until the perfect opertunity to leap out and get a backstab. After that I try to disapear again to do it again later. I don't score particularly highly but I enjoy myself which, atleast as I understand the word game, is the point.

As well as that, camping is far more realistic. It annoys me in "realistic" games that you have the players running around like ADHD suffering road runners. Any real soldier would be taking cover and trying to return fire and use tactical advances.

i don't camp, but if i find a blind spot I'm not the one to pass it up.

but i prefer close range weapons such as shotguns or fast msg's so i can never really camp efficiently.

Yes and no, for one, I'm more of a rusher, sitting in one place drives me crazy. At the same time, I'm forced to camp because I have to, either because everyone else is doing, it's not wise to rush, etc.

As much as I hate people saying "these kind of people ruin a game", I have to agree with you on THIS ONE occasion. Nothing, I repeat, NOTHING sets me off more than campers. No, I'm not a camper, and I devote most of my Multiplayer life to rooting them out. If I get killed by a camper, I rain their position with explosives 'til I kill them. If the explosives dont get them, I go in ready to spray down whichever corner they've found themselves.

Im sorry if you are a camper. I can't really say I mean no offense because, well, that would be contradictory to my previous statement. So I'm sorry if I have offended you, but I cant help it when it comes to campers.

I do but only in certain types of matches. Sabotage, for example.

People really need to stop moaning about camping, however. It's gotten to the point that I get called a camper because I'm in a building that's surrounded by enemies.

The moment you try to tell someone else that their way of playing is ruining the game for you, you are ruining the game for them.

I'm that guy who does perfectly concentric runs around the entire map, systematically flanking the enemy while utterly fucking up the spawn system.

I do this as well. Problem is, nobody else will come with me, and I usually end up facing down three dudes from the other team alone and can only take down a couple before the inevitable.

OT: I'm a sniper. It's what I'm good at.

However, I don't see camping with a different gun as unfair. If you don't have the common sense to not go barging around without checking for enemies, then it's your own fault when you die.
