I would tell you all to stay civil, but we all know that won't last long.
So I came across a thread or two of some little Xbox fanbrat running around screaming about how The 360 Slim is amazing and so on, and then someone responded to him and said that the majority of this forum is made up of PC Gamers. So I got to wondering is that true? How many of you out there use PCs to play your games and as for my fellow console gamers what console do you use? Why did you pick your platform over all the others and are you happy with your choice?

As for me I'm a console gamer. Nintendo introduced me to Video Games and I've been a complete Fanboy of Nintendo in return. Until The Wii. I don't what it is, The Wii isn't a bad console, It just isn't a good one either. So now I have a 360 and play my games on that. I play Civ 4, TF2, and some other odd games on my PC as well.

When a game is PROPERLY ported to the PC, its the best experience. No doubt about it.

+ Lots of RAM reduces loading times.
+ Flying with the joystick.
+ Aiming with the mouse.
+ Lots of keys that you can remap to perfection.
+ Replay the game 5 years later with a way better machine so see it run even smoother.
+ Mods.
+ Dual-screening with browser/guide on the other monitor.
+ You can go WAAAY higher then 1080p.

The only thing you have to sacrifice is your couch, and get behind your desk.

I am sorry, but this thread is just too often... I seriously think they need to start locking theases threads on sight... they appear way to often...

PC gamer but not by choice. My entire collection of video games from SNES to PS3 was stolen.

Fortunately Steam has helped me by having sales on several titles. It still angers me to think about it, but I hope I win a console someday for poetic justice.

This thread again?

*sigh*

Okay, okay. I'm primarily a Nintendo guy and my console is the Gamecube. However, I spend just as much time playing games on my PC.

So I consider it a tie. I don't really prefer one over the other actually. There are some games that are more fun on the Gamecube than on the PC and vice-versa. I'm too tired to list my example right now.

Ultimately all I care about are games so no real personal preference but i do mostly use my PC so much control and 240 steam games that i cant trade out of desperation...Well i guess i could sell my account but lets not think about that i know alot of people say it but i really think I have control over my drug habit.

T'would be a nice thing indeed. I guess all we can do is suggest it to the site staff and continue to say "please use the search bar" to the newbies. It would be nice if it automatically rejected threads with similar titles for like a month to limit the number of duplicates.

But I like everything :( Just give me the money for every platform ever and I'll happily fangirl all of them. As I have limited funds currently I only play on the PC and, more recently, the XBox 360 (solely for Mass Effect and Fable). For now.

I just feel sad that there's no screencap on consoles. Or mods. I like those things.

I disagree with the whole mouse/joystick thing. One reason that I use consoles Is that I can't stand using a mouse. I much prefer the two analog sticks on the average controller. Also with the "whole replay the game five years later" thing, yeah you can do that - if it wasn't for the fact that almost no games run on Windows 7 or Vista, which is what most new pcs use. Just last week I had to bust out my good old Windows XP computer from storage, just so I can play Theif.

But the couch is the most important thing!

The couch and the beer-helmet.

OT: I'm both. Sometimes I waste my life away in front of the PC playing Deus Ex or Mount & Blade, other times I waste my life away in front of the TV playing The Darkness or BlazBlue.

You can still dual-boot all new computers with XP and Win7.
You can't get Win98 to run on new hardware though, I'll give you that.

The mouse thing is preference I guess, but I am convinced I will always like it better for any free-aiming situation.
