A lot of people (myself included) talk about on this forum how they suffer from social anxiety and the like well not suffer but I've seen people mention being nervous about talking to people and approaching people or being misanthropes, or spending a large amount of time at home.
Me for instance I can't talk to anyone if they don't talk to me unless I know them and talking to girls makes me incredibly nervous causing me to always not look at them, stutter, or mumble.I try to avoid people on weekends and my mom is constantly bothering me about inviting someone over, and I fail at small talk with people I don't know well. I'm not completly anti-social I do have friends I know well over I just don't have many of them at school.

How about you?

I'm pretty shy around strangers. But towards my friends I'm pretty open.

BTW, General Greivous is AWESOME.

Not completely anti-social, but I hardly talk to anyone unless they talk to me. My real friends are all on the internet...

I'm antisocial because I would piss those friends off greatly in about three years, and I can't have that looming over my head you know.

Ehhh... more or less what you've got, except I have a couple friends in the neighborhood to hang with on the weekends. The bits about girls and small talk? Spot on... and now I am going to be sad with myself.

Where is the "I talk to my friends sometimes but tend to be antisocial" Choice? You said "Talks to friends" but I barely even do that, of course I only see the guy once a week so he is more of a friendly aquantince then a friend.

I'll just vote the "No" option since it most fits me out of the choices

Or do you wish to hear my social life for a more informed version of my social status?

I talk to the majority of the people in my classes and am fully capable of talking to a stranger by myself, thank you.

I think all the years of drama class has helped- I used to be kinda shy.

I used to get anxious on occasion. I have no problems talking to people these days, I just don't want too. I feel dirty asking people how they are when I don't actually care about the answer. I'm not interested, and I can't live with the idea of being fake...pretending to enjoy it. So I do as little socialising as possible. Good, or bad...it's who I am.

Hmm I wouldn't say anti social, I mean I do hang with people in college and I get on well with them. Am just quiet so normally I don't have much to say.

Althought to contradict the statement above, am the type of person who pefers to eat alone, I don't know why, it's just a personal trait that I have.
I wonder if that makes me anti social.

i am nervous around new people but i can warm up to them in a few minutes or a few hours depends if my friends are around, but a friend or close acquaintance i could be very quiet. the strange thing is everybody knows me and thinks i am cool score the ninth goal in a 9-1 win and everybody went crazy even thought it was only are second game didn't even know them. also i general like or don't mind most people i meet even if my friends hate, unless the do something to tick me off i don't mind them.

Sounds like how I feel.

I don't usually go out of my way to talk to anyone, and I've gradually lost touch with my friends. On the plus side, I can usually force my way through most social situations, in need be, and I'm fine with workplace environments.

Minor nitpicky note that most people wouldn't care about: I think the word is "asocial." "Anti-social" generally refers to "Anti-social personality disorder." In other words, psychopathy. I can assure you I'm not one of those.

Not in the slighest, I quite enjoy going out with friends and having a good time. In fact my personality type on the Myer-Briggs personality test was ESTJ, meaning I'm an extroverted person in general. I'm only on here when I'm home anyway, and I live by myself so this is a good way to still socialise with other people despite being alone.

It's less that I have trouble being a social person (beleive me, I can be very talkative when you get me going) so much as I have trouble meeting people / starting a relationship.
