So I am a huge fan of James Rolfe, known as AVGN (Angry Video Game Nerd) and I am looking forward for his movie. How do you think, are you interested in this movie, would you even buy the movie?

I had no idea he was making a movie, and I don't watch his show.
That is, I watched a good deal of episodes a while back, but the novelty wore off after a while.
I don't see how he'd produce a watchable movie from the concept.

Did your poll eat all your Ts?
I don't know what you mean. I liked the show but I won! What's so hard about that? :p

OT: It'll probably be really good but I highly doubt it'll get released outside the US :(

The AVGN is being overshadowed by tons of more talented internet reviewers/personalities left and right; all he's surviving on now is his legacy of being one of the first.

And this guy is making a movie?!

I don't even watch RedLetterMedia's movies, and those guys have actual talent.

Hello,

I'm sorry the Escapist ate parts of my poll answers. :(
So the answers are:

1. Yes, I do
2. No, I don't
3. I don't like the show, but I will watch the movie.
4. I like the show, but I won't watch the movie.
5. Munky Cheez.

I personnaly am looking forward for the movie. I really like his show and I think James has a lot of talent. I like his kind of humor and I'm obsessed with Mr. Bucket.^^ I like seeing again all these retrogames with James' commentary, though I don't like much the game glitches, but I think it totally fits the idea of his whole website. Besides that I love his Monster Madness, I got some awesome movies after watching this marathon of monster movie "recommandations", my favorite beeing Brain Dead. ;)

@ Regnes: I think it's not a bad think Mike will show up in the movie. Yes, he doesn't have the best voice, but I like James' whole work, because I think he really loves what he does and I honor his passion for keeping on his work. Mike is part of the AVGN universe and it would miss something if he wouldn't show up. I also hope that Kyle Justin would have a part (doesn't have to be a major part) in the movie, because also contributes to the show and I want to feel a connection between the show, the AVGN universe and the movie. I don't want to see mainly people in the movie I never saw before, I would like to see known faces of the AVGN crew (at least some of them).

Honestly, not really, I'll watch it, but I really doubt it's going to be good. I love James Rolfe, but he's much better when he tries to keep it simple. His more elaborate projects have been really awful.

Remember Crazy Castle? They worked on that for ages, calling it their most massive project ever at one point, was the most god awful AVGN episode ever, almost everybody hated it. I can only imagine the same for this.

Also keep in mind his closest friends are heavily involved in this film, this means Mike Matei WILL have a role with lots of screentime. He's annoying to look at and has one of the worst voices I've ever heard. Just pray he doesn't try and plug his series and make the movie also about googling video game glitches and pretending he knew about them from the start.

Seriously though, that's such a shitty show, I don't know why they even bother. A million and one games where you can glitch it out and phase through the wall, narrated by a man who has been going through puberty for the past 20 years.

EDIT:

Oh yeah and it's a surefire thing that Doug Walker will have at least a cameo, maybe not a horrible thing since he probably won't have any creative control whatsoever.

At any rate, I also have doubts the movie will even be completed, this project is killing James' career, he's not pushing out a lot of new content, and as such he's becoming less and less popular, less people visiting his site, and as a result, less and less funding for the movie.

And if it does come out, he's probably done for anyway, lost all momentum for his regular projects, and he's not likely to gain any momentum form the completed movie.
I agree in many facets about this. Though you forgot Mike's laugh and that hyperventilating "I can talk WHILE I laugh" thing he tries to do instead of taking a second to not speak. But I am holding out hope. I think James is a lot more talented than a lot of the people here give him credit for. Not just AVGN, but his movie reviews, the top tens he does, the Overanalyzers series, Board James, he's done a lot of great things. I hope it'll be more of a culmination of his career than just an extended AVGN movie. But he's dreamed his whole life of making a mediocre-budget film that he actually knows a lot of people will watch. I trust that he's gonna go all out.

It could be good, but then again the film is going to be based around ET for the atari 2600, and there's only so much you can say about that game, that others haven't touched on already.

Personally I think James Rolfe should review more recent games like games from ten years ago, or the 32-bit generation, or hell even more 16-bit reviews would be nice, I'm sick of him reviewing Nes games all the time. The best videos he did IMO was the retrospectives he did on the consoles, which were very informative as well as being incredibly funny especially the atari 5200, Sega CD and Virtual Boy ones.

I think James Rolfe should go back to reviewing stuff like that, and refrained from reviewing Nes games and seeing how many stupid words he can churn out about it in fifteen minutes, it's getting old, and quite frankly I believe most of his fans are tired of it as well.

Also BEEEEEE SEVENTEEEEN BOOOOMBER!!!!

That is all...
