Hey I just finished watching the Avatar: Last Airbender series again and it got me thinking a bit

By the end Ang's Trainers each learn an extreme form of they bending type:

Kitara=Blood Bending (water)
Zuko=Lightning (fire)
Tosh=Metal Bending (Earth)

This kinda got me wondering, what would the extreme form of Air Bending be? I mean I know Ang is the Avatar and he mastered all elements so that is his extreme, but what if he was just a normal Air bender?

Flying, without a fly-stick-thingie. That would be awesome =D
NO WAIT, I've got it. Vacuum bending.

Pressure bending, where he manipulates the air pressure around you to simulate deeeeeep ocean pressures, crushing you (sounds more water bending's bag though to me)?
Or force choke bending, where he manipulates the pressure of the air itself in your lungs to sublimate it, suffocating you in the process?

Those are the best I could some up with at the moment, I'll ponder on a few other options and post em if I think of any.

very high pressure I guess could be it.

That's kind of the problem with Air Bending. The "extreme forms" of the other Bending types are doable because they're related to that type: Blood Bending bends a creature's blood (which is mostly water), Iroh said something along the lines of Lightning Bending being the "purest" form of Fire Bending, and Metal Bending is just bending the unrefined bits of earth found in metal. Air Bending doesn't really connect to something else except maybe air pressure, and the ways you could use air pressure would most likely kill someone, making it against the way of life for most Air Benders.

But Aang has Spirit Bending, so he still has an extreme type of bending.

I actually haven't seen much of it... but for first appearances I must say the main character's going to have to do a good job because I already have a negative opinion of him -_- (Does he have enough baby fat on him? >_>)

Also I rather enjoy a lot of M Night Shyamalan's movies so I'm amazed at the amount of people (as few as they may be) that are saying he's going to screw it up.

Air removal. Where the airbender takes all the air in and around the opponent and deprives the opponent of oxygen.

Oh M. Night Shyamalan...you and your awful movies. The series is pretty awesome, very well thought out and such, but not that the Shyamalan has his hands on it. It will die like a Rob Schneider movie.

He does have some good movies.

Hell yeah. Anyone who thinks they can bloodbend him just has to wait for him to spiritbend the crap out of them.

i know lightning is the extreme of fire-bending in the avatar universe but isn't lightning also formed via friction caused by air currents (and/or clouds, something to do with temperature too i think)

anyway water bending is still the most powerful in my opinion, i mean if they really wanted to kill someone all they need to do is control your blood flow to make you stop processing oxygen...or just freeze your body fluids making you swell and die....or just freeze your heart...

not to mention if you can control ice, you basically having something as good as earth...and with moisture in the atmosphere you in-directly control air in most areas other then desserts
