I can't be the only one here who marked their body permanently with a symbol from a band they love. I've got a Bad Religion, "Crossbuster," on my upper left chest. What do you have and where?

I haven't got it yet, but I plan on getting the Glassjaw symbol.

Either in green or black, probably green.

Nope. I admire the commitment, but I think I'd end up regretting it eventually. Bands I was obsessed with at 18 now only form a very small part of my wider listening. Tastes in music change and expand with age, I don't think I'd want to commit myself to a band for life by tattooing them on myself.

If I was going to get a tat, it would be in reference to something about my life which would never change. Football team for example - you should stick with your team for life, so that would be worth getting a tattoo about perhaps.

Haven't seen you for a while flower, hows you been?

On ye olde topic....

None of my tattoo's are of bands but I did date a lass when I was a lad (oh so many years ago) who had a few Slipknot ones. They looked awful.

I have this on my right shoulder. I probably wouldn't get many other band tattoos (or any tattoos really), because I don't really want a tattoo just out of fandom. I think the Black Flag logo kinda transcends just being a band logo, it represents much more than that.

I'm wonderful! thank you for asking! How about you?

Ya all of my ink is my art (I have expanded a bit)-planning on finishing off my sleeve on my right arm this spring.

I forgot to mention (i don't know if you can call it a band tattoo), but my wife has a Amaryllis flower tattoo on her left calf (inspired by the album and song Amaryllis from Shinedown.)

I have a 'My Dying Bride' tattoo that's incorporated into one of my sleeves. Does that count?

Absolutely fantastic thankyee kindly.

You vanished for a while, it's been quiet without you around. Just wanted to make sure everything was okay.

I'm thinking of getting the Coheed and Cambria keywork symbol(display picture) somewhere on my body, either one of my sholders or collar bone.

Well I have this:

On my shoulder. In a way I regret it because I don't like Metallica very much anymore, but when I got it I knew I wouldn't totally regret it because it looks so friggin' awesome.

To anyone wanting to get a tattoo; make sure it either looks awesome, or it has a meaning that will always speak to you.

I haven't got any ink, but my ex has a half sleeve loosely based on Gojira's From Mars To Sirius album artwork. I quite like it and she was over the moon when she had it done.
I think that if I ever did get a tattoo connected to a band, it would only be something inspired by the lyrics or loosely based on some album art, like hers. I wouldn't go with the actual band logo or anything with the band name in it. Even if I stop liking the band, individual lyrics or bits of art that I like won't loose meaning.
