What are your thoughts on this?


My thoughts: I don't really care, if a person wants to screw around (litteraly) with a donkey or a tiger (that would be certainly intresting), let that person do it, so long as they aren't physcily harming the animal, I really couldn't care less.

Now would I want to see it? Fuck no. Do I approve of it? Not really, I think its weird. But I am certainly in no high standard of morality to tell my neighbour what is and isn't right. And what he should and shouldn't do. I wouldn't want him comming over stopping me from playing on computers because its wrong to him, so why the hell should I go over there and tell him that Beastiality is wrong.

I'm pretty sure a donkey if it didn't want it would just kick the person in the face, and even in nature animals choose who they mate with, so some sort of consent is necessary

I think this is the major and outweighing argument against bestiality.

To argue for it you must argue for non-sentient creatures being mere objects rather than life. That is an entirely different argument.

Uh, you do realize that what we, the majestic human race, do when it comes to dating is basically exactly what you said? We're all slaves to our instincts, and in case of humans, some extra cultural indoctrination on top of that.

From a legal point of view, since animals cannot give one clear consent, any form of bestiality is rape.

But as one might realize, law is not some kind of ineffable force. Many laws in general, both in legal systems and in glorified "moral" systems used by various communities, are convoluted and in some cases simply stupid. But that would be going too philosophical here, and I'm too lazy to make a rant about that.

As an amoral anarchist with nihilistic tendencies, I do not care. I do not believe in ethics, morality, laws or anything as some kind of guiding force. For the sake of keeping something resembling society, because it's only thanks to forming groups we've managed to reach our technological level to have more toys to amuse us through our meaningless existence, and I'm all for that. So things like "try not to murder people" and "try not to start too much trouble unless you really want to" make sense. Many others don't.

Overall, as long as you don't propose breaking the pillars on which our entire ecosystem stands and we're ultimately supported, I couldn't care less what you do with animals.

The same reason they can't give consent also makes them impossible to commit criminal acts because they have no understanding of the laws they're breaking. This is why children and severely mentally handicapped people are also often not charged with crimes. Guess what all three groups also have in common? They can't consent to sexual intercourse.
