Poll: Best Cult Films

I was at work the other day trying to think of different cult films (including cult films that have made it to mainstream audiences) that I've enjoyed and got wondering about the most popular or best cult film out there.

Personally I'm a big fan of Pulp Fiction, can't beat Samuel L. Jackson quoting the bible and nearly killing someone for their opinion on Cheese Burgers!

Then again Clockwork Orange and Trainspotting are pretty sweet...

Any other suggestions/opinions/films anyone can think of? (Even better if I havn't seen them yet)

Out of those, the only one I've seen is Donnie Darko - and that was great.

pulp fiction really isn't a cult film. it's a widely popular movie that tons of people like and was pretty mainstream

a cult film is one that only certain people like, ie Evil Dead or Godzilla movies

1) Truman Show made hundreds of millions of dollars - I dont think it qualifies as 'cult.'
2) Same goes for Usual Suspects, which won the academy award for best picture.
3) Also Pulp Fiction - not cult.
4) Where is "They Live!"?

My favourite cult films are The Warriors and The Man From Earth.

Out of the list, I'm not sure since a lot of the options aren't really cult films, and the ones that I've seen I don't really rate too highly.

OP really needs to see Tokyo Gore Police and then will start kicking himself for not putting that one on the list. Pure awesome right there. I think I'll abstain since The Thing (John Carpenter version) is not on the list.

Hhmmmmm I always considered Fight Club was a cult classic and a excallent movie. never heard of the others on the OP but I will look into them
