Poll: Best Evil A.I.

There is something about A.I.s that make them such great villains. They are able to control everything around you. There is not literal escape from them. So who in your opinion is the best. I included 3 of the most popular ones figuring they would probably get the most but if you know another great one tell us about it.

Does HK47 count? more of a droid than a computer AI I suppose, but I will mention him anyway, because he is awesome.

There's Vicky from I Robot, she was pretty nefarious, but also only working under the directives that had been set, that to protect humans she had to rule them, because we are killing ourselves.

Also it's interesting that out of all these crazy AIs none were successful. Apart from that one in "I Have No Mouth But Must Scream", But I haven't read that book myself, so I can't really comment

You may want to read it. It's available for free online (legally!) and it's very good. Also, the computer in the story doesn't really win. It loses all but one of its 'specimens'. I'd put that in a spoiler box, but it's the basis for the title.
The humans don't win either, though.

HK-47 is my pick, on the grounds that he's definitely psychopathic and also extremely amusing. Yeah, he's a droid and not a self-aware server rack somewhere, but he is Artificial, Intelligent, and Evil.

President Eden was a good pick that didn't immediately occur to me. Although I don't know if I would call him particularly evil, given the fact that you can convince him of the error of his ways and the general level of violence and lawlessness in the Wasteland.

It's questionable if Sovereign is an AI.

Reapers are organic after all, and according to them, were not created. If they were born, evolved, and ascended to ship hood naturally, they are not AIs.
