So, it all comes down to this. The most important question EVER. Something that has created viscous fights amongst some of the greatest thinkers of our time. Ever since Plato have scholars pondered this question:

What is the best Limp Bizkit album?

For my money, the answer is clearly "Three Dollar Bill, Y'all". But I thought I would open this up for debate, get some discussion going so we can come to a forum wide conclusion (and hopefully all leave smarter for the process).

I really like them when I was a teenager. The internet was very different then and MTV was pretty much all I had, though, so that's my excuse. I'm going with Significant Other.

Significant Other is fine, I re-listened to it just today at work.

They aren't something I'd listen to now, but were you to ask me 15 or so years ago, I'd have said Three Dollar Bill. I haven't heard of the last two though.

Three Dollar Bill Y'all is the best Limp Bizkit album. It shows them at their most hungry, they have nothing to lose and it doesn't have Fred Durst's victim complex going on and he is also not threatening to punch people out. Significant Other is a decent album.

I'd say Three Dollar Bill Y'all is the best overall.

As a musician tho, my favorite is Significant Other. Some of those basslines (like Re-Arranged) are pretty damn fun to play.

And if anything, Limp Bizkit (and Korn) served more or less as a gateway drug to other metal for me.

As embarrassing it was that I liked Limp Bizkit, I at least had the sense to sell all their albums to a friend of mine before he wised up and realized how utterly horrible they were.

Three Dollar Bill, Y'all was probably the more unique of them all but I definitely listened to Significant Other the most since I was a rather angsty teen. I remember years later watching that PBS Frontline doc at uni called The Merchants of Cool [https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/cool/] and being amazed at how dumb we all were but I guess everyone has their phases. I don't regret wearing blazers to school, however.

Maybe when I'm 50 I'll look back on my music tastes now and be all WTF all over again.

Limp Bizkit had albums?

Here I thought their music only existed in WWF compilation albums and Napster/Morpheus!

Easily Three Dollar Bill for me. Though I haven't heard it in over a decade I think. I remember the crunchy sound it had, so raw compared to all the other albums once they got produced properly. The guitar riffs had a lot of drive, really like the way the drums and the bass clicked together. Vocals was something I hardly paid attention too though, didn't give much of a shit of the frontmen of either Bizkit or KoRn.

If I had to pick a second best, it'd be Significant Other.

As a kid I kind of liked the second album.

As an adult I'm totally ashamed of my younger self.

Is this a trick question?
No, it isn't. Limp Bizkit is good y'all.
Maybe on some other world, but this is earth.
Let's try to sort this out rationally.

You could say there are two earths:
1. the one where people use the word "y'all"
and
2. the one where people don't

It would save a helluva lot of arguing if those two worlds agreed to disagree on, well, just about everything.

That said, it's one of the biggest mysteries of the rock universe why Rage Against The Machine get a "free pass" as an acceptable form of this type of music, and Limp Bizkit don't. As far as musical heritage goes they might as well be conjoined twins.
