aside from a few changes, the plasmids and weapons from Bioshock 1 will be carried over to Bioshock 2. Do you think it's good that they stuck with what works, or do you think that they should have made alot of new weapons and plasmids so that we can get something fresh out of it?

Not quite Exactly the same

The Wrench is now a Drill that runs on fuel
The Machinegun is now basically a minigun
The Camera is now a recording device
Plasmids can be combined
Plasmids can be upgraded, rather than bought as a higher version

Keeping with what works while adding and altering enough to keep things fresh, this seems like a plausible idea, rather than making virtually every aspect different and hoping you don't screw up.

That last poll option makes my brain hurt, but I have to choose it anyway.

Bioshock was a decent game with great atmosphere, I see no reason why Bioshock 2 won't be the same.

Not to mention you'll be housed in a two-ton fucking suit of repurposed diving suit armor.

I think it's good that they fixed things up to offer more (even more) gameplay choices and to streamline the RPG elements of the shooter, while making sure to keep it familiar to players of the original Bioshock.

I'm more tickled about the Power Drill :D

I've watched so many BS2 videos of splicers getting bullrushed and eviscerated in their faces, it took me a second to realize I've actually never played that myself.

Truth be told, one of the first things I plan on doing is a drill fight with a Bouncer.
Then I plan on hoping that the new version of the crossbow still has electric tripwires (Favorite weapon to use)

Just because they have the same ones doesn't mean there aren't new ones. There are. Not too incredibly many, but they are there. And the abilitie to use plasmids and guns at the same time should mix things up, as should the ability to combine plasmids. I don't see a problem here.

making entirely new plasmids wouldn´t make no sense in the continuity of the game world imo. however, it is more logical that the player-character as a special, plasmid-using big daddy has advanced capabilities like upgrading and combining plasmids versus a "regular" splicer. like the big daddy is able to upgrade plasmids instead of just buying new, better plasmids like splicers have to.

And let the Clash of the Titans commence...

I'm sure 2K wouldn't be so quick to cut out those darling little linear tools of instant death.

TRAP SPEAR???

I have no idea how a harpoon gun would be able to fire something like a spring-loaded, motion-activated trap spear into the surrounding environment, but I'm fucking intrigued to see how that plays out.

Simple really. It would merely be a harpoon gun that has been modified by... Screw it. It's a freakin underwater metropolis, they don't need logic.

Chances are that it'll be some kinda Harpoon gun.

Just like the whole turrets with steam-powered AI thing, huh?
