So i just got the funds to buy Bioshock 2 Special edition. I want to know if the people here at the escapist think i wasted my money? So what do ya'll think? Was the vinyl record, art book, soundtrack and Rapture ad posters worth it?

A lot has gone into making the special edition look presentable.
From a mere quality standpoint - it is quite high.

If you're into the BioShock atmosphere/style, then it comes highly recommended.

Personally I'm a big fan of almost ANY special edition. Its a bad habit but at the same time a damn good one too.

The Bioshock 2 special edition looks very good so I'd say its definately worth buying. Although even if it was just a shiny metal case I'd still recommend buying it, the game itself is brilliant.

I bought it, not bad when you compare it to other special or limited editions. The soundtrack can be downloaded for free off iTunes as well if you use the CD, plus the vinyl and artbook were quite good. Good for eye appeal mostly, the soundtrack does get listened to on my iPod fairly often however.
Posters are good under a blacklight ;)

It looks like a lot of effort went into it, so I'd think it's worth it.

Ultimately, you'll decide though. You spent the money. If in a month you are unsatisfied, then it won't have been worth it.

Does it come with a good edition of the game? If not i would say it's just a waste of money.

LOL I have to agree with this. Having played the game, and been really disappointed I wouldn't advise investing in it.

I sort of agree here, I played the PC-version (because FPS = PC), and the game is brilliant, I like the story, setting and the music. Unfortunately, the Multiplayer is crap (not entirely unexpected) and that means that the game is very single-player focused, with very little replay value. Of course, it's good, very good in fact. The question is how much time you will spend with it, I spent around 8 hours. So if you think eight hours of entertainment sounds worth the money, then by all means, go for it.

I absolutely loved the game, much more than the first one. If you like it too, then the artbook, soundtrack, posters, vinyl record and kickass packaging at a mere 60$ is a steal.
