Well I've already got a request. So Here we go.

Cost: Free To Play (FTP)
Price-fun rate: 7/10
Blacklight Retribution is a high speed shooter with good graphics, semi-realistic aiming, and a variety of weapon combinations. There is no real story plot going on other than gun here, enemy there, pull trigger, but you soon forget this as you loose yourself in the truckloads of attachments upgrades and modifications you can do to your weapons and armor.
The nearly instant deaths that happen all to often are easily forgiven by the fact that you instantly resurrect, but is just as quick to slap you in the face when you realize anyone that decides to pay real money into the game will have a supreme advantage over you and anyone else, as from the very start you can unlock weapons that will be locked to you until you reach the "proper" level. This causes a severely unbalanced matchmaking process where someone in full armor and weapon upgrades simply wrecks you and your team.
The reason I cannot give this a 10 in the price-fun rate even though it's free is that it costs money to keep up with those around you, which as stated can be quite annoying and feel unfair at times.
Another bit is that when you install the game there are a number of log in issues that nearly made me uninstall immediately, including a bug where the "Play" button didn't appear. Luckily a friend of mine found the answer that I had to start up Internet explorer first to update that before I could play Blacklight. This alone shows some issue on the developers part. but I'm reluctant to give less then the 7 as it IS free.
If you want a free fast paced shooter that you can put a few dollars in every so often, or pour in your life savings to destroy those without the financial means, this is your game. If you want something with a storyline or more then shoot gun, kill face, then move along. Nothing to see here.
