I'd say its hovering around very good, but it doesn't quite hit great, but I'd still get it if I were you.

its pretty good, but the side quests get a bit repetitive, boiling down to fight, race car, kill, rinse and repeat.

The voice acting is excellent and funny and the music is a who's who of awesome if your into metal.

Im told the campaign is short, but iv only had it for a day so i haven't finished it yet.

that's all i got.

It's good. Not Tim Schafers best, but that still makes it very good indeed.
That's because beating Grim Fandango is almost impossible.
I voted Fucking Awesome.

Because that's what it is.

The only thing keeping me from buying this game immediately is the Hack & Slash style gameplay. Everything else is pure gold on a stick.

The writing is excellent, which is par for Tim. The gameplay, gets repetitive after a few hours.

The game, with me taking my time, is going to be at most 15-20 hours on the first play through.

Still, It's just great.

It looks good, but its stereotypical and it has Jack Black, so i'd say it's bad.

Apparently its more Overlord stlyed RTS than as hack and slashy as thought, Accoriding to Adam Sessler anyways. (He didnt say Overlord, but from what Ive seen, its similar)

It becomes more of an RTS than a hack n' slash as it goes on.

I'm really impressed with it so far. The voicework and script are top notch, I'm hearing great music from some bands I'd never even heard of and it's just plain fun. Looking forward to playing it more.

Even though I'm on Brutal now I'll probably play it a second time just because I can.

I'm putting my vote into fucking awesome! I bought the game yesterday but I have only played a few missions due to school/work. But from what I've played its fucking awesome. I love Tim Schafer, from Maniac Mansion, to Psychonauts, all his games are awesome. My personal favorite so far is still Grim Fandango however. The reason why his games are great are because of the atmosphere that he creates, no one else can make a game like him, they all have great characters and pretty good stories. The only negative side to this game is.......Jack Black. While I do enjoy him sometimes, I can only enjoy him for up to an hour, after that he seems to get really annoying. But I'm willing to overlook that because this game is awesome! I only played one multiplayer game, but from what I got their its awesome. Its one of the most epic battles online ever, think three huge armies battling it out on a huge map, it looks like something Peter Jackson would direct. Overall.......

EVERYBODY GO GET THIS GAME!!! DON'T LET WHAT HAPPENED TO PSYCHONAUTS HAPPEN TO BRUTAL LEGEND!!! BRUTAL LEGEND IS A GREAT GAME!!!

Actually its much less hack and slash as its an RTS light. To better explain, you're going to spend more time in a pikmin or overlord style gameplay than you will running around chopping shit up with your axe(the sharp one, not the guitar). You can of course opt to just tear stuff up with the axe, but you will find yourself quickly out numbered in later levels where they send cluster fucks of enemies at you.

I'm about halfway through the story if I had to make a guess and I'm rather enjoying myself...I declare it another success.
