So escapists, I'm in a dilemma. I'm interested by Brink, but all the major reviewers didn't get paid off enough, and the indie reviewers say it's a hidden gem, but they can't really be reliable. Several of my friends have it and like it, so I'd have a team. Although I'm also intrigued by Starcraft 2, but I don't have too much money. Are there any other games coming up that I should be saving for instead, I don't really need a game, but if there's nothing on the horizon... Also only recommend games for the 360, my PC can barely run starcraft 2, so the witcher sadly won't run.

EDIT: If you're going to use the poll to tell me to wait for a better game, at least tell me what the game is.

don't get brink. brink is boring. starcraft 2 is hella fun, but i would get LA Noire over both, if you dont have it. it's... interesting.

I voted other, and according to the poll that means I have to explain. I'm not interested in either game, so I'd just wait for something else (namely, Deus Ex: HR.)

bunches of cool games coming out in the fall
also if you're thinking of getting brink, just get TF2 instead

personally, I'm saving for Battlefield 3.

I voted Starcraft 2, but unless you're an avid RTS fan (which seems unlikely as you don't already have SC2), I'd wait for Batman: Arkham City.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution could be good, but I'm not entirely convinced yet. L.A. Noire wasn't nearly as good as promised, though not terrible either.

'Course, if you're not after "new" games, what with the inclusion of SC2 in your poll, then I'd suggest Portal 2 over all. Game was fan-friggin-tastic. There's literally almost nothing to dislike about it.

[edit] Or, if you're willing to wait a good while, you can get Battlefield 3 this winter. Up to you.

I'm really interested in Brink, but I'll be waiting for the price to drop. Unless you're one of those people who is mad into multiplayer, wait until the price drops. Personally, I'm waiting for Space Marine to come out and for my exams to finish so I can pick up Portal 2.

I rather enjoyed Brink but I'd wait for more content before buying it. At this stage, it simply isn't worth it. I didn't really like Starcraft 2 that much, and I like some RTS's (Dawn of War II and Medieval II Total War for example) but of course I didn't like the first one to begin with. I'd say just save your money.

I would wait personally, Starcraft 2 just didn't do it for me but your mileage will vary. Brink is obviously a very issue packed game and I'm betting it's not worth the scratch.

I'm interested in neither, so I wouldn't say one is better than the other. Frankly, I thought Starcraft was boring as hell over a decade ago, and I can't say I'm interested in the sequel. If I'm going to sit down in front of a screen and play a strategy game, well I want it to be pretty complex or interesting to keep my attention. It's neither to me, so..

Brink, I don't have much of an opinion on. Don't really care for the style, and I've had my fair share of arena-shooters in my lifetime. So like SC2, I'd need to be a little more complex or 'grand', like Battlefield 3, large-scale and complex.

Don't know what your time-frame is for "saving up", though if you mean basically the whole rest of the year, then I'd say wait. End of the summer till holiday season should be nice.

Though you said you have a few friends who play Brink. That can make a bad game good, and some people don't even recognize the perks of doing so and give high marks to shitty games for no reason.
