Alright - Before I start, let's clarify that I am fan of the Call Of Duty series.
First Impression:
So like a bunch of other guys, i downloaded the Multiplayer BETA, and like a bunch of other guys - i hated it.
Very gritty, it was all about blowing of arms and legs, instead of going for the realism part which to me: Is sort of the Call of Duty brand. The fact that you'd be able to choose a BAR as Russians, is again - Very gritty.
Thoughts:
So I get the full game, and after installing i find out that on start up i get a black screen, even after installing the patch released on the release day.
So i freak out, looking over the callofduty.com forums, and I find a solution: removing some files.
Anyway I get the game started up then I realize that I have to wait for approx. 2 - 3 minuets before the game loads the briefing video's.. But at this time I am just happy about getting the game started up, so I wait.
But i really liked everything about the Singleplayer, everything from the good old tank mission, that is in nearly every CoD game. To the Zombie mode/mission/crazy-ness.
I only have a small complaint about singleplayer: I seemed to get some rather disturbing FPS outbursts, some times I could have lag that seemed "- of Doom" when I entered an area with fire, light, smoke, and some other really cool effects, and at other times I'd go nuts, my player would run 3 times faster then normally.. which seemed sort of strange to me..
Multiplayer:
Of some reason I couldn't create a online gaming profile.. But i guess my comments about this would be just as how i described the Multiplayer BETA.
Final Thoughts, And Rating:
Good game, my suggestion would be to get the game to at least play singleplayer, and CO-OP Singleplayer. And then throw it in your garbage can when your about the hit the Multiplayer icon on your desktop.
Out of 10 Stars i would have to grant this game:
7 Out of 10 - Multiplayer is a big joke, but you'll not have this much fun with a singleplayer, then you will here.
Have a nice day - Sebastian Snittgaard Poulsen.
