So... Atlas's next big time mind-bumbling non-Persona gaming pet project is finally on the way... are you excited about it or you couldn't care less? Personally, if they don't put a European release I'm going TO UNLEASH FORUM HELL! So yes... I'm hyped.

I marked like a schoolgirl when the localization was announced, I pre-ordered the "deluxe" edition the day it became available, I've seen every trailer...you could say I'm a little excited for it.

I know this guy. He speaks truth. I feel more or less the same way. Catherine is going to make my year.

^^;; I'm not going to get the deluxe edition (what am I going to do with men's undies and an empty pizza box?) but I will be pre-ordering the regular version.

Very excited. ^^

Very interested but I'm probably going to rent it.

Looks very nice but I can only buy a few games this year.

Maybe I'm missing something, but the only thing I saw from the game was someone playing the Japanese demo and it involved a half naked sheep/ram dude who was climbing cubes, is this just another puzzle platformer or am I missing something?

It looks interesting, I'm keeping an eye on it. But I'm still not totally sure on what it is exactly.

Dating sim during the day, puzzle gameplay at night. All revolving around a murder mystery.

From wikipedia:"Catherine (?L???T????, Kyasarin?) is an erotic horror[6] puzzle-platformer[7] adventure video game" - 'Erotic horror' xD

Pre-ordered a while ago, will be importing the standard edition (with the artbook and CD).

Looks awesome, and the team behind it definitely know their craft. A part of me still wishes it would be a turn-based RPG, but I can see how that would be impossible in the context of this game.

Not particularly hyped up.

The gameplay doesn't seem like something that'd immediately hook me, and its apparent themes of erotic horror, (a sheepish male fear of) strong and overt female sexuality, and relationship troubles doesn't seem particularly revolutionary in light of what Japanese PC visual novels have previously put on display.

Still, it looks better than so much else out there for the PS3, so I'll probably import it from the US whenever the price have dropped sufficiently.

...In the meantime, this one [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/95937-This-Is-the-Best-Trailer-for-a-Japanese-Porn-Game-Ever] should help fill the void for Japanese ecchi hinjinks when it comes out here; Most definitely not high art, but it looks like a barrel of laughs.

A relatively experimental concept game...

Made by Atlus...

My mental bar has been set somewhere near the floor...

I'm still on the fence about this one. The concept and portrayal looks interesting, but the puzzle system I'm not to sure about.

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about it. Already pre-ordered the standard edition...I want the artbook and CD that comes with it via Amazon but I'm getting it by Gamestop, and so far it's just the game there.

It's still Atlus, so like all their other games, I expect it to have a better story and be more well-written than any visual novel I've ever read. And have better art/music/gameplay, but that's kind of a given.

[sub]To be fair, I've only read three. Tsukihime, Higurashi and Umineko.[/sub]

I know they're apparently well known for making quality JRPG's, but as I've never played one of their games - and unless those Pokemon games from my childhood count nor even a JRPG - I don't instantly associate them with "must have" the way I do anything written by Gen Urobuchi. Maybe Catherine will convince me otherwise, but so far it's not much of a priority.
