Poll: Cats or Dogs?

We have five cats and two dogs and while I love them all dearly, I love the cats more than the dogs. And even among the cats, I "play favorites" and give more attention to the younger cats vs. the older cats. Why is this?? Maybe it's that the older cats are more sedate and calm, and the younger cats being cuter and more "cuddly."

Which do you prefer and why?

Neither. I'm allergic to many of both animals and I generally hate them both. I was a dog person as a kid though, before I developed allergies to them.

I'm a cat person. I know a few dogs that I think are alright, but I wouldn't want one of my own to be honest.

Random fact, dog lovers are more likely to take a cat in than cat lovers are likely to take a dog in. Mostly because dogs are more high maintenance and a lot of cat lovers are more fond of cats because they don't want a pet dependent on them.

Personally, I find dogs a little gross, cute but gross. They're (usually) smelly and slobbering, and I FRICKIN' HATE IT WHEN THE MALE DOGS HUMP ME.

They stray looks like a sweetie.

Our cats are named after Keith Olbermann and Bill O'Reilly due to us watching lots of politics during the '08 election.

Keith is a little shit (not always, though - he has his "good/cute" moments) and Billo is the sweetest cat I've ever owned.
